I walked into My Home in search for assistance in renovating my kitchen. Upon entering My Home the first time. There was 1 sales associate in the back. Understanding the pressures of retail on the weekends, I decided to browse through the showroom until the associate finished wrapping up what she was doing. (Alone with no other customers in the showroom aside from myself & my boyfriend). About 15 minutes go by and we signaled for her attention, she saw us and to my understanding acknowledged us so we decided to wait until she came out to greet us. Standing in the showroom now 30 minutes and she still did not come out to assist us. She never came out..... I left abruptly, and very upset.My boyfriend convinced me to give My Home another chance. Weeks later we walked right in and were immediately greeted by Arnold. Arnold was amazing super attentive, saw my vision, worked with us and explained the nature of the work and any waiting time thoroughly. Coming from a retail background we understand at times it’s out of the company’s hands and it falls on waiting for the manufacturers, contractors and etc. Arnold helped us design the kitchen plans in November of 2018 and we were aiming to begin the kitchen process in February of 2019. We decided to give an ample amount of time so that everything would be done efficiently. We received a call in January saying our kitchen cabinets were ready and that we would just need to provide them with a date that they would relay back to the contractors to see what worked. I gave them a date a month in advance. Weeks went by and we did not here word back from Arnold. I contacted My Home twice a week for 1 month before our set date. No one ever called me to communicate anything to me. I became fed up and decided to pop in and see the manager myself since no one would give me a reply. We were told that Arnold was no longer with the company. No one contacted me to let me know they would be my re-assigned designer. Not one ounce of communication was administered from their part. I spoke with the manager Gem & he was understanding of our situation and was able to work with us and explain what the hold up was. I explained to them that we understand hold ups and other projects are also in line. What I do not appreciate is not being communicated with when they say they’re going to communicate. You can’t tell a client “i’ll find out and call you back”....and never call back. There should be no reason I am hounding you for work that I already paid for to just be told excuses. They drop the ball a lot when it comes to communication. I’m told I’m working with Gem and then another woman becomes my associate who by the way never calls or reaches out so I don't even know her name. (Professional huh?). The Customer Service here is horrible!. They are short staffed and for that I can understand the push back but they lack in basic communication. It is now 3 months later and our kitchen is incomplete, the countertop has pencil writings on it, there is an additional sink that they brought by accident and never took it back and then they asked me to drop the sink off...absolutely not! . I communicated with the manager and still no assistance. I will never do business with this company ever again. Nor will I refer them to anyone. Communicate with your clients. If the contractor can’t do a specific date...call me...If the cabinets aren’t fully finished....call me and tell me what the hold up is so i can have a piece of mind and not have one of the most exciting projects done in my first home become the...
Read moreThis company is dishonest, opportunistic and do not care about customer satisfaction. If there was an option for 0 stars It would be my rating of our experience with this company. If by chance you have a decent experience with them consider yourself fortunate. This has been the absolute worst experience I have had and this is my 3rd kitchen renovation. I do not recommend ever using this company. My retirement gift to my mother was to help her renovate her kitchen for Christmas 2023. We began this process confident and happy as James and staff sat with us and went through design ideas. We thoroughly discussed the layout and was provided with 3D imaging. We followed all of the design recommendations. James even came to our home to do the measurements for our kitchen in order to finalize the design. Once the products started to arrive they were either an insufficient amount which resulted in us spending more money or incorrect in the measurements. The floor tile where short, which not only delayed our project with our contractor but cost more money because we had to order 3 more boxes of tile. In attempting to ensure that there were no further issues with the layout and proper installation of the cabinets we hired the guy they use for cabinet installation and paid $2500 for installation of the cabinets. The installer had issues with the cabinet sizes and was told to proceed and follow the design that was provided to him. We previously discussed that an apron farm sink would be ordered and we were even helped by James to identify the sink we would need to purchased; however when the cabinets were being installed they did not line up with the placement of the sink. When we notified them, they tried to justify the mishap, blamed us and accused us of changing the layout.There were a lot of incorrect measurement, a lot of wasted space and filler where they were not needed and were paid for. We had to order more cabinets to correct the layout at our cost of course. When it was time to do then final measurements for the countertop they accused us again of not giving them the correct measurements (despite coming previously and measuring the space) and being aware of the need for deeper counter tops. Again we were told that we needed to pay an additional 500+ dollars for additional countertops and that they would not proceed unless they received the ok to proceed although already being paid in full. The rep stating now that reason for the new charge was that they only gave an estimate of the cost of the countertop despite already having the measurement. When I asked the rep how they intended to connect the backsplash without the needed countertop she had no reply. When asked how they measured for deep countertops on one side but not the other, the rep had no reply. This is over 6 months later and my parents who are 71 years and the kitchen is still not complete. I am utterly disgusted by our experience and how we have been taken advantage of in the process. I tried to find a number to reach out to costumer service or a owner; however all roads seem to lead right back to this location. They do not care about customer care and customer satisfaction. This experience has caused a significant amount of undo stress to myself and my family. Avoid this company...
Read moreI would recommend My Home Tile Kitchen & Bath I wanted to hold off until my service is complete before giving my review about My Home Tile Kitchen & Bath to ensure I have captured everything that would make a a complete, unbiased and accurate review. This is why: Upon my initial visit to My Home Tile Kitchen & Bath (on Saturday), I had to wait for a while before I was able to speak with someone. Please note, this is not a complaint, it's just to show you that this is a very busy store. Also, that particular day, 2 of the employees were out so they were short staff. However, this gave me time to look around and get ideas as to what I needed. Once I was assisted, Cem (pronounced "Gem"), was very apologetic and explained to me the reason for the long wait. He was very knowledgeable in answering all my questions, and addressed all my concerns.
Throughout the process of purchasing all my materials from this store, "Cem", gave very reasonable prices that was better than others. He also took the time to work closely with me in getting the right colors in tiles and flooring for both my bathroom and kitchen. I must admit, the prices are reasonable, and a bit less expensive than others. I know because I did my research to ensure I was getting the right cost for my buck. However, I do need to state that it took a long while for me to receive my materials that was already paid for weeks in advance. It took approximately 3 weeks after asking for my materials to be delivered. This was a bit frustrating because it held back by renovation schedule about 2 weeks. In their defense, it was not entirely their fault...however they should work on communicating with the vendors who supply the materials to ensure timely delivery. My advice; be sure you receive all materials in advance to starting your renovation. Do not wait until you a need it. It may get delayed. Other than the small hick-up in delivery, all my materials were delivered in great condition.
Carlos did a great job to ensure I received my delivery to continue renovation. He also ensure that the correct "grouth" and other small details correctly matched the style I was going for. This is something that usually goes unnoticed because it's such a small component but it becomes a large factor with the finishing touch. In addition to Carlos, Ametta also did a fantastic job to re-order materials for me when I needed more materials and ensure they were delivered in a timely manner.
Last but not least, since I did not use all my materials, Cem accepted the unused materials and reimburse me the difference. My Home Tile Kitchen & Bath is where you should go for your...
