I’ll start off by saying I initially booked with this salon based on the reviews on Google and their initial responsiveness when I was looking at their website considering to book.

I’m saying this out of hopes this shop can do better, not because I came to bash or defame a growing business but customer service matters, especially for a salon that boasts to be a luxury hair salon, there was very little that was luxurious about the experience.

I booked a hair appointment via the online service for a 12pm on a Sunday at 11pm on Saturday night. Based on the reviews and online presentation it was my belief this establishment could accommodate a booking with 12-hour notice.

I paid the required deposit for the appointment which was $37, the total appt was $145.

I arrive at 11:45am, to a dark store with the gate partially drawn, I rang the bell that is there but no one comes and I figure I’m still early so let me give them until 12pm. I go back to my car to wait and just to confirm I checked my appointment confirmation - all is in order.

At 12pm, I return to the same scenery - I called the number on the door “for walk-ins” and no answer. I texted the marketing number that had previously reached out to assist with scheduling an appointment, communication received is included.

In between waiting on a response as to whether or not the shop was open - I sought alternative solutions since I was planning on getting my hair styled today. I found a Dominican shop around the corner, I called they said I would have to wait and that was fine since I was walking in, I was just happy they could take me. As I walk over to the Dominican Salon, I texted the Hairport marketing number to request to cancel the appointment and get a refund for the deposit I paid. As you will see in the text exchange they refused and stated the deposit is non-refundable.

I called the number as instructed in the text to confirm if someone is in the salon. I was told they were in the salon but were in the back, “due to the fire”. Considering they confirmed they were open, I decide to head back to the Hairport salon.

I arrive 3 mins later around 12:24pm, I received a call back from the person I spoke with and I told them I was ringing the bell and no one was coming - he then called the employee who opened the door.

Upon greeting me, he says who is your appointment with Ann? Unsure, I say yes I believe so and show my confirmation text. He says yes that’s Ann - she is not here yet but she should be here soon.

They could have returned my deposit and I could have had some nice Dominican lady doing my hair but instead I’m in this dimly lit establishment questioning their ability to effectively operate a business.

At 1pm I texted the marketing number, to ask for ETA on Ann.

At 1:08pm I get a call from someone who states its a 24-hour booking requirement and that they will process the refund.

This could have all been avoided with appropriate customer service when I initially asked for my deposit to be refunded. Also, if the 12-hour appointment notice is insufficient appropriately adjust your scheduling system to prevent that. Don’t miss the mark - the blame the patron for booking. If this fails to land with ownership hopefully potential patrons who value their time and money will...

this is the response to your response to my previous review being that I couldn’t respond to your message however, the problem is that I was told and I have text messages and payment screenshots to you guys and you guys telling me that you can do my hair I sent a picture of the type of hairstyle I have. I also let the person know that I have a pixie cut the fact that you’re telling me that you do not specialize in a pixie cut is telling me that it was all about the money. I spent $180 I was told to send $54 as a deposit and then when I came and my hair was completed, I was to pay the remaining balance when I came into the shop. I did not see no overhead dryers and even if you do have overhead dryers Used and it was not used a blow dryer was used to blow out my hair and to mend the glue and the tracks It’s been 20 days and my scalp is still burning. This is not OK and no one should have to experience what I experience and now be told. There’s no record of me even being there after y’all kindly took my $180. Also, I was told that my service can be rendered what I was looking for, so I expected to get the treated the treatment that I asked that I asked for which was tracks at a trim and a wash so if you cannot render the service, you should not have accepted my appointment, confirmed my appointment and took my deposit for my appointment and took my money for my appointment. This is not OK at all and I’m only writing a review so other people who have pixie cut and Believe that you guys can render a pixie cut Service because you cannot ask me for a picture I sent a picture of what the stuff that I had and I said I can do it so I’m very disappointed. I’m very upset and I’m very frustrated that I got a response like that about the review. If you would like I can post the text messages that I have between myself and your staff member and accepting my...

OK, so this was my first time going to the shop and for one I’m giving it one star because I paid 250 for a front and a sewing. I don’t see that price up there for that and everything else cost less than that including a wig installed.. there are two things that just don’t sit right with me for one. When I got there. The lady asked me if I wash my hair and I told her I did a shampoo dry conditioning because I didn’t have any shampoo. Long story short she gets on the phone with whoever she was on the phone with talking about me while I’m sitting right there in the chair. She probably don’t know that I speak the language, but whatever. But yeah, she was talking about me while I was sitting in the chair on the phone in another language that’s very unprofessional and on another note, I like the way she laid the hair down, but I’m not happy with it at all for $250. Because as a professional. Why wouldn’t you suggest that I add more bundles? This is thin as hell and I don’t like it. And it started lifting the next day. I gotta keep putting the lace melt on it..

I honestly was going to someone else that day and she called me back asking me if I still wanted to come so I was in a rush and I did not get to wash my hair knowing that I was going to her and she charged me an extra $30 so actually I picked 280. She should’ve threw in the wash for...

I have to say, my visit was wonderful. I don't get extensions often because of the expense and the amount of time it takes to finish. And to be honest, I never feel 100% great about the results. This was my first time getting a Burmese Hair Install. I am celebrating my birthday tomorrow with friends, and I’m beyond excited to pop out with this hair. I was stressing this appointment for weeks, hoping I bought quality hair, and that the hair would look great! Hairport Extensions did NOT disappoint! I feel confident, vibrant, and brand new. My stylist was amazing and we talked about or sorts of things, I forgot that I was even getting my hair done. I felt so relaxed and stress-free. Everyone was also very welcoming. One person always made sure I was ok, and I appreciated that. If you're looking for a new spot to get your installs. Please give this place a try! I will be shouting them out on my Instagram story tomorrow! Thank you, Hairport Extensions, for a wonderful visit.
