I'm a legally blind & PHYSICALLY disabled woman who ordered 7 gals of distilled water online for my breathing machine. The delivery was set up to be delivered btw 6-8pm. Driver arrived @436pm & husband wasn't home and I was alone. The Roadie driver (Damian Q) called from downstairs & I explained to him I was almost blind & PHYSICALLY unable to go downstairs & carry 7 gals. He said he'll leave them in the lobby & I said that was fine but, instead he LEFT with my merchandise. I recd a msg on the app where I tracked my water and it read: "delivery attempted" then another update saying they will deliver "tomorrow". I tried for an hr to get assistance (on the phone). After 3 diff representatives from customer service & exhausted because my breathing was labored from talking and answering questions, I arranged for my husband to pick up my waters in a store. One that isn't to close to us. Took over an hr to try to get cs to help me switch locations for a pick up even though That pkg was supposed to be delivered when I wasn't home alone, btw 6-8PM..but to no avail. IT WAS paid for and I left DELIVERY instructions for the delivery person to ring my doorbell so that I could buzz him /her in and to bring upstairs or leave it in the lobby. I order distill water from them weekly . Sometimes they leave it in front of my door and sometimes in the lobby. I don't understand why this young man chose to leave with the distilled water I need for my respirator machine. Apparently The Home Depot doesn't care who delivers merchandise to their customers. Damian Q from UPS/ROADIE SIMPLY TOOK OFF with my paid merchandise simply because he could. He's allowed to do this and I don't matter because I'm toO old, disabled and almost blind. I'm appalled. Thankfully my 81 yr old husband will drive to a Home Depot Store & pick it up tmr. Not OUR local store that is 7 blocks away but to 1 that's farther away because cust srvs couldn't arrange the switch to our local home depot store... IN...
Read moreAfter many complaints from the hubby about needing to evasively maneuver around the shower from our various products, we decided it was high time for organizational shelving to save his toes.
We did some research for our corner shower caddy and the HD website said there were 32 caddies in stock. We excitedly rushed to the designated aisle and bay, but the shelf was empty.
Crushed, we desperately looked above the retail shelves, even cranking our necks as we held onto the glimmer of hope of finding it but alas, still no caddy.
Crestfallen, the hubby was about to give up when I saw an employee finishing up with another customer, after sectioning off an area for the lift machine, and figured we’d give it a shot.
Jimmy was so cheerful and without skipping a beat, used the lift machine to search the entire aisle for it without any luck. My hubby and I were about to capitulate and order it online when Jimmy, with the determination of a navy SEAL, informed us he’d locate it using the inventory program.
Turns out, it was stocked on the highest shelf of a completely different section, in the insulation aisle, which was more than 10 aisles away from the retail shelf.
I heard trumpets echoing through the aisles of the depot of home improvement as Jimmy adeptly used the lift machine to valiantly hand us the elusive, shiny shower caddy. He even secured the gates to ensure maximum safety for both us and other potential customers (even though there weren’t any other customers in the aisle at the time). Jimmy demonstrated excellent customer assistance with flair while maintaining safety protocols through a not-so-straight forward task.
We were so grateful and touched by Jimmy’s willingness and dedication to go above and beyond! This HD is now our favorite location. We’ll definitely be back and looking forward to thanking Jimmy again in person!
TLDR: Jimmy Boots is an absolutely incredible team member who went above and beyond locating an item when the retail shelf was empty. Thank...
Read moreAbout 7:40pm on 4/24/25 I tried to return vinyl tiles without a box. There are pieces of tile coming off the walls, they supposed to stick to the wall and don’t cause damage. They come off constantly. Wanted to show the store and return them. Some stay on the wall and I don’t pull them because they will damage my wall. They are coming off few a the time. If I wait it long enough for all of the to come off will take months. I brought the ones that came off the walls to this store and they refused the return, they want all to come off the walls and recount the 30 prices. I said If I pull they go bring them back would you repair my wall???? His Nastiness said no.Unreal. But the best part of my intent to return is this Assistant Manager, to make the story short, offered a discount if I buy an item. I said I don’t need anything else right now, I came for plants and return the tiles. I didn’t buy plants they are horrible. He wanted to give the discount in an item that I didn’t want and only wanted plants. Wanted to buy something I didn’t need. I said what’s the % you are offering? If I comeback then I can use it. He couldn’t say. Want me to invest again instead of giving my money back. He insulted me by asking me if I understood multiple times, I’m like this is not science., I’m a PE Engineer with a 3o years career in NNY. He said do you understand? I said I did but he apparently did not understand when I asked for a manager, he said I am a manger. Then kept saying “there is a language barrier ”, multiple times. I said that’s discrimination, in my field I won’t dare to say that to anyone. He called me out by saying I don’t understand what his basic explanation was. Needless to say, his power struggle and limitations led him to insult and discriminate me. I guess that’s his culture. Don’t waste your hard working money on this store, buy online…. Home Depot you will be...
