Caribbean Fest — Restaurant in New York

I paid for a private event and it was open to the public I paid 5500 dollars and 275 in consignment for liquor to and outside vendor , we gave the owner permission to sale his food to our customers only, they sold to people off the street , carry out, and did not give us any prophets, my guess had to remove people . They gave my guess plastic folks and plastic cups for drinks , charge them 3 dollars for water that I bought, they promised parking and didn’t do it, I brought beer cold beer they didn’t sale it, I ask for a light beer and they said we don’t sale I bought it in never used it , it goes on and on , it not the money it’s the principle, they used they bait and switch I took three cases of wine all the way from dc, she said she could sell it for 2 hundred dollars a bottle, later in the middle of the event she said we don’t sell wine , bait and switch, I asked her to sell my patron first she sold none, it’s about principle. My guess couldn’t spend money because she didn’t accept credit card debt only cash bait and switch no receipt no accountability 300 dollars for beer cold beer, I bought all of it home she sold her beer bait and switch no receipts no responsibility why a consignment u have tons of alcohol bait and switch double up your consignment...

There were so many things that went wrong with this deal! If I could leave a -5 I would. We rented the place for a private event, the owners had and served their own customers, we were told we would be able to park our truck in their driveway to be told once we pay them that the driveway was full of trash and that it’s a fire hazard to park in their driveway. We were told to bring all of the beverages we would like to sever, only for them to serve our customers their beverages. We asked them to charge $1 for water that we brought to sale only to find out they were charging people $3 for the water. Not to mention we were never paid for the water. We also had wine and light beer. They told several people they didn’t sale light beer. They also sold wine that we had for sale. We never saw a dime of the money from the wine. These people total ripped us off. They didn’t do half the things they were supposed to do. They never opened any of the beer or liquor we brought them to sale they only open the consignment liquor and they used their beer. So there was no way to know how much beer was sold. We tried working with them to come to some sort of resolution they were not willing to give us no money back or any other accommodations! I wouldn’t...

Great Restaurant and Bar. A very clean and upscale environment. Walk in, greeted and welcomed by the armed security who offered us seating. Luxury chairs, tables, restrooms, VIP section and lighting was great. Nice music system but the DJ needs to lock off the dance better. If you’re playing a kind of music and 90% people dancing, keep playing and don’t switched it up just like that because you’re killing to party vibes.

Only negative was that the kitchen was a little backed up and the balled head dude with the velt hat was very honest to inform us ahead of time. I love this place. Hope they maintain their high standards. Prices are reasonable, drinks good and the food was excellent, although there were no lime sour for the snapper.

Go early for seating because this place is packed very early. Love the bucket beer with ice. Love that the waitress from West Demerara Guyana was Bussing a lil dance and interacting with all guests. Glad to see very nice people and no riff raffs hanging out there. The owner usually walks in and out of the bar checking on all guests and also the roadways. It is always a good sign to see the employees and owner interacting with their guests and make them very comfortable and...
