Ongoing Issues with Package Handling and Customer Service at Merrick Blvd UPS Store
I am going to formally file a complaint regarding repeated issues Iāve experienced at the UPS Store located on Merrick Boulevard. I am extremely frustrated and disappointed with the level of service and the lack of security at this location, and I feel compelled to bring these matters to corporate attention.
I receive packages on a weekly basis through this location for security purposes. Ironically, this store has made me feel anything but secure. Far too often, the staff appears to have no idea where my packages are. On multiple occasions, Iāve witnessed packagesāincluding mineāstacked out in the open, against a wall, where anyone could potentially take them. This is not secure storage.
The staff frequently cannot locate packages in their system. Just recently, I was told my package was not at the Merrick Blvd location, and I was redirected to Springfield Gardens. My GPS led me to the Springfield Blvd store, 33 minutes away, where the staff provided much better service and even advised me to contact corporate.
When I did, I was redirected right back to the Merrick Blvd storeāwhere I was originally told the package wasnāt located. Finally, when I spoke with someone at the store, they admitted that my package was there all alongāit was āsmall and in the corner,ā and thatās why they couldnāt find it.
The next day, I returned to pick up the package, only to be told again that it wasnāt there. The staff member checked a handwritten list, and when I provided the UPS tracking number (which clearly showed a delivery confirmation), she claimed it wasnāt in their system. She refused to check the number against the official UPS website, which shows it was delivered.
This level of disorganization, poor communication, and disregard for customer experience is unacceptableāespecially at a store that is supposed to provide a secure, reliable delivery point.
I no longer feel safe or confident having any packages delivered to this store, and I will be discontinuing my use of this location immediately. I urge you to look into this matter seriously, as I am sure I am not the only customer experiencing these issues.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf I could get the Stor zero stars, they would have it. I made an appointment to have paperwork notarized. So I get there 7 minutes late after my scheduled appointment time. The store is crowded as usual, so I tell one of the workers Iām here for the notary. She tells me to hold on. She tells somebody in the back thereās someone here for notary services. She continues working with another customer and then after 5 minutes finally she comes over to me with some story about: āThey said that you had to be here within the 15 minute grace period and I show her that Iām still within the time. Then she says oh OK Iāll be right back. She goes back to helping another customer and then proceeds to go up to the counter to another coworker where I proceeded to follow her telling the coworker I was here for notary. That coworker finally finishes with the customer thatās in front of her. I ask if sheās the manager and she said yes. Then she tells me about some story. Which I had to stop her to inform her that I was still in the Grace period. Next she comes up with the story about the computer times out for notary services. Umm excuse me so what is it the Grace period or the computer time. Please tell your employees to stop lying...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis review is long overdue, but still needed to share my experience. I needed a few items printed (last min on my part) for my baby shower. I reached out to UPS to find out if they would be able to help me in the bind I was in. If I remember correctly I reached out on Thursday evening and the shower was on Saturday. Ayanna answered the phone and was SUPER helpful! She provided me with all the information I would need and no time while speaking with her over the phone and/or in person did our conversation feel rushed. She took the time to explain the process and what to expect. She even stayed late to cut and package the prints for them to be collected the next day. Most importantly was that she communicated with me every step of the way!
While I wouldnāt recommend waiting until the last minute, it was comforting to know that this store was able to help. Thanks Ayanna! Now donāt just go looking for her, Iām sure youāll receive the same care from the other team...
