Place is clean and well kept. Buffet was hot and fresh. Food was delicious. My husband and I tried the ackee, okra, callaloo, butterbeans and provision. Not too much salt. Very little "spicy-ness" (which is great as you can always add extra hot pepper to to your liking). Kids enjoyed their sweet chili wings and rice and peas. "Natural" beverages are a little overpriced ($5) for the content.... The label....Water, guava + passion fruit "nectar", sugar and syrup (corn syrup). However, the beverages are refreshing and tasty.

Mac and cheese tasteless literally had no flavor just oil . Curry was good jerk good . But also charged 1$ for nothing. Cashier didn't explain why I was charged a 1 additional plus taxed on it . Waited almost 4 mins before someone realized there was a customer. This is the second time this happened. Never pay here without seeing receipt. Don't think I'll be returning there are other restaurants that have tasty buffets with out unnecessary unknown prices . This place doesn't have consistency at all

I found this place by accident, and I am so happy that I did. It is a little place on 232 Street and Merrick boulevard it is small does not have much seating but the food is amazing. I personally had the oxtails, and the jerk chicken along with their macaroni and cheese. It is a buffet style serve yourself and you pay by the pound. Very reasonably priced If you love Caribbean and soul food this is a Must try. I would give it more than five stars if I was able to.

My first time at this restaurant. The food was good, but it was my first meal that day. The gentleman that was bring the food was very helpful, I was not happy with the young lady (cashier). She needs to go to hospitality school. The price was horrible. She open the container to see what I had in the containe ( okay). Because I didn't have rice , she charge me for meat only. I had fish , vegetables, I had a spot of macaroni and cheese not even tablespoon.

The bill was $25. 00. I question it, that is when she told me because I didn't have any rice. She said there was a sign near the food. So, I went to look for the sign. The gentleman show it to me over one of the food trays. I do not think anyone would notice it. Because when I first got there I was looking for the sign of the different names of the food. So, items I did not know what they were because of the different stews dishes. I was happy they had gloves to get your food.

I am always disappointed how some store owner cater to our own. My parents had a restaurant years ago. Everyone in the neighborhood knew us and we catered to them. My sister and I will not be going back to this restaurant. We have family in the neighborhood, I will let them know what happened. We not from Queens. But, I pray they change some of their policies. Hospitality is one of them and pricing is another. Their establishment was very clean in the front. You need to be able to show the amount of food you paid for. There's no Icon to take a picture of the food to show why the amount is ridiculous.

Good...

Let me start with the positive first. The food look fresh and the place was clean. However,I did not get to taste it because the cashier opened my container of food and accused me of taking oxtail in my container of food. Not one oxtail in my box. She had on no gloves and her fingernail (thumbnail to be specific) was dipped straight in the food. So unsanitary. When I told her there’s no oxtail in the box of food she kept saying there’s oxtail in the box. I even said run the cameras back or throw the food out on a plate and you will see there’s no oxtail there. My mom was with me as well.

We left without the food, two containers because the customer service was distasteful. And the manager on the clock was unprofessional as well. A tip for the owner, store manager, or shift manager, don’t include oxtail in the buffet if you’re concerned about people taking it. The manager said people steal oxtail. Really? It was a horrible experience. I haven’t been there since 2017. Looks like I won’t be back...

The food is way too pricey you come here. It’s like they changed the price every time I come there it’s ridiculous. Everything go up. I come there every month and the price go up every month. It’s ridiculous. The food is good, and that’s only in the morning or evenings after certain time then the food is not the same Then you’re charging people higher prices because I guess they stay open for a bit longer put up the price. I don’t be getting these businesses sometimes and this is why they gonna lose their businesses because they charge too much. It’s ridiculous man. If you open up at a decent time and close at a decent time, you wouldn’t have to worry about hiring a price for people to come and eat People at the business needs to learn how to shut their places down at a certain time they would not have to charge so much electricity water all types of things so then they want to charge the people...
