This is very well about the worst Walgreens open right now. From management down to the cashier, to the associates on the floor. Store and pharmacy are disorganized. Associates refuse to help clients and give their clients bad attitude instead, and throw the merchandise at people after ring it instead of passing it to them. I say all this because it happend to my mother. She went to buy 4 different pillows as a christmas gift for her granchildren among other items. She was not able to reach the pillows because they were up on the highest shelf, meanwhile lower shelves were empty (disorganized). When she tried to ask for help the lady working on the floor refused to help and told them to wait for the cahsier, a man, who was having a conversation with a friend from the neighborhood (not a client). After about 10 mins of waiting they asked the lady again for help and she yelled at my mother to "stop bothering and wait for the cashier to finish his conversation." About 5 mins after that the man finally approached my mother and very rudely asked her "what' you want?!" She explained she needed certain pillows from the top shelf, the man proceeded to ask her "why the pillows have to be what the kids want, its a gift they should get what they get!" (Very poor customer service). After all these, my mom proceeded to buy the items ($100+), the guy once again demonstrated his excellence at poor customer service by throwing the bag with the pillows to my mom, almost hitting her face. She asked him for an extra bag, because she was going to walk a long distance and with a lot of bad attitude the man grabed a bag and threw at her for her to double bag the purchased merchandise. Management is obvoiously failing at both managing the store and hiring people that want to work with cuatomers. I will be taking this incindent to social media due to how traumatic the experience...
Read moreI am a Hispanic 4’11” woman who has been at work since 9am all I wanted to do is go home but unfortunately I had to stop at this store as an emergency. I just experience the worst customer service at Walgreens. There is a sale of buy one at full price get one 50% off on always pads, so I accidentally grab different size 28count and 33count so one of them is $9.99 the other one $7.49 so I go back in the long line because as usual there’s only 1 register open and we can’t pay at the pharmacy. So I asked the gentleman to exchange the pads so I can get the sale. So he tries to charge me an additional $2.50 more to pay the difference but the sale is buy one get one 50% off. So he gets an attitude and gives me a nasty look. I asked him to call his manager( I’m tired and Im trying to save money because everyone knows times are hard) so turns around angry and he says “I’m the manager”. Then the lady who is the actual manager( also catches an attitude because she looks like she doesn’t want to be bothered) says yeah he’s the “boss” at this point I’m just like “ I don’t want anything, I just want my money back” I asked for his name he said "hector" so I went to look for a worker to find out the manager name he gave me a woman’s name and a totally different name of the man at the register. I can’t believe how rude they were to me, I am an essential worker just like them. I am paying for my products I’m not asking for anything free. If I could give them a 1/2 start I would’ve. They need to be trained on how to treat customers we are all going through a rough time we should be helping one another not making life harder. I’ve been shopping here for quite some time and always come early in the morning and I don’t get...
Read moreThis drug store is a poor excuse for a pharmacy. Today I returned and found the hours had been reduced and service didn't start until 10. I have a cardiac issue, and they are closed on Sunday also. So that meant after release from Montefiore on Saturday I was unable pick up a very critical med. Also, the speed at which they fill an order and the importance they put on lunch hour is ridiculous. Why doesn't one person at a time take lunch? I have noticed that this place is not busy as in the past. Why? Probably because of low to non existent inventory, reduced hours and shabby service. For two days I have been trying to pick up an out of stock medicine in the rain and cold after a series of hospitalizations. The final nail in this stores coffin? No delivery in the immediate area. I was told to go to the website and have it sent Fed Ex. That's not service. I am going to look at the other pharmacies in the Jerome Gunhill business district and find another local pharmacy that offers some service and select another pharmacy as my preferred provider for my doctor's to send my scripts to. I have had it...
