Great playground lots of fun but mainly for older kids. My kids love all the climbing structures. Their is a sand pit with water but the sprinklers are not the best considering that you have to wash out the sand some how.

I was born (1955) and raised there until 1970 on 106 & Lex. It has changed immensely. What a huge improvement. The playground has had a complete overall except for the very spacious handball and basketball courts. I returned this year for the 39th ANNUAL 106 STREET OLD TIMERS gathering. Which is held on the second Saturday of August. It was so much fun. The live music was amazing. And not some little band, closer to a small orchestra. I loved it and dance until I couldn’t anymore then rested and did it all over again. Not bad for a 67 year old…, All in all I had a ball. Thanks go out to the president of the 106 STREET OLD TIMERS, David Hernandez, who has worked tirelessly for the past 39 plus years to organize the event. And that makes White Park the place to be every second...

NYC did a great job of overhauling this park in Spanish Harlem. Now there is a sandbox and sprinklers for kids, swings, and space to run around, while parents can watch from new benches a few feet away. The other half of the park has full court basketball and handball courts. So many parks above 96 st are neglected, so it is wonderful to see how this park has been renovated. Great...

Way too many ghetto "events" with deafening loud music blasting for 7-8 hours straight, the entire neighborhood shakes. Absolute nuisance, what's the city doing giving them permits for that in a residential area? Atrocious! Don't bother moving into this block if you want a piece of quiet...
