Champoeg Disc Golf Course — Attraction in Newberg

As a disc golf course, this place is just ok. Not very challenging, and a bit small in regards to how crammed the "holes" are. A lot of trees, but not necessarily different from one hole to the other.

As a park though? Very beautiful and nice to walk around. Disc golf may not be in everyone's interest, but just taking a stroll around the course will be a nice activity. I wish there was a bigger off leash dog park here, but there is one very near the course. So you can walk through the course or around and then stop at the off leash area to play catch or whatever...

Great disc course. Has long and short starts. Clever system with varying nets with hooks and keyring system. Which ever hook the keyring is attached is the net to be played. Each disc hole at the start has a map, with all the possible locations of nets based on the day.

Paved trails for bikes, strollers, joggers, and walkers. Plenty of grassy fields for lawn games, laying out and relaxing. Ample picknic tables,...

Very nice course. 18 holes, an even mix of par 3 and par 4. Good tee pads and signage. Each hole has multiple pin locations, so each visit can be a little different. Most holes have wide open approaches, great course for beginners and intermediate players. High level players might be disappointed by the lack of long distance holes, the longest here is a bit...
