I give this park 5 out of 5. Pros: *Pet friendly *Clean *Play ground has both a toddler and older kids' side. That has many swings and slides and right next to it there a garden. There are many picnic tables and benches *A porter Potty, which gets checked on regularly. *There is also a huge sandbox *two Big open fields. One by the playground and one by the lake. The lake can be used for fishing The lake also has a small waterfall which can be good for photo *mill pond park also offers plenty of other activities to do such as walking trail, a pool, it has a Tennis and Basketball court. There's and exercise station next to the gazebos. *Last summer they reopened the snack shack so if you forget to bring food you don't have to leave to buy some. *the park is in a great location. You can literally walk to the library from the park. Its also just a couple of minutes' drive from the newington Center where there are plenty of restaurants, spas, and salons for hair and nails. They also opened a big dollar tree. It's not that far of a ride from Target. *there's plenty of parking as well. I believe there 2 parking lots on both sides of the park. One near the playground and another by the water fall
*Cons: Sandbox no longer has toys *Sometimes, there's geese that fly onto the field and poop everywhere. *There's theis big green slide with 3 sides. Going down is wild. Some kids like it some don't. If you go the wrong...

Read moreThis is really one of my favorite parks here in the area. It is quiet and peaceful, very nice for watching turtles and a variety of birds. It is always well-kept, easy and relaxing to walk the full loop around the pond. The playground is extensive and has a lot of options and variety for kids so that there is plenty of space. The playground's astro turf was delightful. Felt like walking on a marshmallow. There is a public swimming pool, but I'm a little confused with the hours of operation since it has always been closed and the water level low every time I have seen it. There's a baseball field, a basketball court, free parking... but always my personal favorite is the little waterfall under the bridge that you always see in pictures. My wife and I came here for...
