Roostah hits on so many levels I had to drop this review on you guys. The exterior is hip and inviting and the vibe inside has a modern feel. In the winter it can be a lil chilly by the door but other than that theres a spacious bar and ample seating. We ordered a few apps and the chicken dinner lunch special which is a fricken steal. Pardon me french, with all these sauce options (up to 3 free) and the side choices its a no brainer. We started off w/ apps and sides ....The pork belly is a lil tougher since its fried but that gives it that extra bacony bacon flavor ya know. The brussel sprouts are very good tho could be crispier. The butternut squash polenta is creamy and light w/o being overly salty and the crispy broccoli is spot on too. The roast chicken is a locally sourced bird that comes out plump n juicy w/a seasoned skin. This is a large half chicken and you get a roll plus 2 sides. There's no going wrong here. Highly recommended stopping thru and checking this place out. All the food coming out looked great and management was vary attentive. Will def be returning soon!

Stopped in on a Saturday evening while visiting Hartford. We made a reservation but didn't need one. For a really comfortable Saturday evening, it was surprisingly not crowded; there were only 2 other groups outside. Felt safe they were adhering to COVID guidelines. Staff were masked properly. We also saw them running food out to cars waiting for curbside takeout. As of August 22, they were offering both indoor and outdoor seating. We sat outside, but there were a couple of groups dining inside too. There were ~12 tables outside. We got the calamari to start, and we split the half rotisserie chicken with pineapple jerk sauce and sides of polenta and buffalo cauliflower. Everything was delicious! Our only complaint is that our server was devoid of personality. He was very mechanical in his service, but not going to ding the rating because he still performed his responsibilities.

We had a very nice meal outside for Father day. We ordered our drinks and they arrived quickly. My old fashioned was excellent with a little sweetness. The swedish chicken meatballs was excellent. My wife ordered the arugula salad with meatballs. Excellent. I had the Mac Daddy Mac and cheese that had caramelized onions and pork belly. The bowl was hot and cheesey. The pork belly was hot and crispy. The caramelized onions made it. Another pleasant evening at the rooster. Update: 3/3/22 Another nice evening out at Rooster! Wife had the pot pie while kid enjoyed the truffle Mac. I had the lamb stew over rice which was amazing. Glad we decided to go out tonight. Update 5/21/23 We had a redux of mom's day and celebrated over brunch at Roosters. We all loved our meal. And OMG, the smoked salmon with crostini. So good!!

Place is just ok… nothing memorable about my experience. Came here and attempted to order the special and was informed it was sold out. Also, attempted to order one of the designer beers and it was sold out too. Had a nice selection of craft beers and cocktails. Our waitress was not very attentive and when we asked for some bread, came without butter. After I was halfway through my meal, the butter arrived and it was super hard and not easy to spread. The other dinners came and it was just an average experience. Waited a while for the check and it finally arrived. The place was clean and appeared to be nicely decorated. The bar area was and the dining room had a bunch of open tables. Parking was on the street I. Front of the restaurant. No dedicated parking lot. Would probably return again…

I would give this place 10 stars out of 5 if I could. The atmosphere was comfortable. Our waiter, Kevin, was very helpful with choosing items on the menu. The Apple Pear Sangria was wonderful, and I'm not much of a drinker! But the food... the food was phenomenal!! We started with Chilled Beets, the Burrata, and the Tomato Arancini. It was all fabulous, but the Burrata was incredible!! I don't know if they run a different menu on different nights of the week, but if you get the chance, Try The Burrata! I had salmon with couscous, my companion had pork chops, and it's hard to say who enjoyed their meal more. I'm sure anyone in our vicinity must've thought we hadn't eaten in months! Sadly, all this gastronomic perfection left no room for dessert. Next time, though, because I intend to go back!!

Right on Main st next to Goldburgers. Entrance is off the parking lot in the rear. Huge space- booth, high top and bar seating. There is a little room off the side as well. Awesome drinks menu. We stopped for lunch. The burger and fries were excellent! Truffle Mac and cheese which was clearly very popular was excellent. We also tried the cornbread - crumbly and served with pimento cheese- very good. Chef has cooking classes. There are trivia nights. The menu is creative and flavorful. Simple dishes were elevated with elegant touches. :) And clearly flavorful- all 3 of our dishes were very good! Space is very clean and well-decorated. :) Service is very good: perfect amount of attentiveness and care. :) We enjoyed our visit and will be back! :) Highly recommend!
