Not A Phase Cafe — Restaurant in Newington

I was so excited when Not a Phase Café finally opened, and it did not disappoint! The vibe instantly transported me back to my 16-year-old emo self in the best way possible. The atmosphere is fun, nostalgic, and full of personality, exactly what you’d hope for with a name like this.

The food is next level. I tried their opening special, a bacon, egg, and cheese on a glazed donut, and it was every bit as wild and delicious as it sounds. The breakfast burrito was massive and packed with flavor, definitely worth ordering if you come hungry.

On the drink side, I’ve already sampled a few and they’re just as creative. The dirty energies are super fun, and the iced coffee with cold foam hit the spot. I also loved how many flavor syrups they have, you can really customize whatever you’re in the mood for.

Overall, Not a Phase Café is a unique, must-try spot. Between the throwback music and the incredible food and drinks, it’s the kind of place you’ll keep...

So hype this is open - I was worried because there were big breakfast sandwich shoes to fill with the Toasted Oat closing - but Not a Phase filled them perfectly.

I tried the Big E weekend special donut egg and cheese and - WOW. Ignoring all the things that a donut bun brings to the table - the egg was the perfect texture, the sausage wasn't super greasy, and we didn't have to wait very long at all.

The vibes inside are immaculate - good amount of seating, killer playlist. Excited for this to become a regular...

This is my first time here. Absolutely love the colors inside the building and the colors of the logo. The atmosphere is fantastic. The vibe is great. The music is awesome. They were nice and busy but not too busy. I ordered a medium coffee and they’re special for this weekend which is an egg and cheese on a glazed donut. Absolutely delicious. They are located next-door to GoldBurger. Definitely recommend...
