Food is pretty good. Their calzone, in particular, is one of the best I've had. The people are nice enough. Prices are not cheap but reasonable for the quality of the food. However, they take an extremely long time to serve or deliver. Yesterday we ordered delivery at 6:15pm and our food arrived at 7:35pm; we were told it would take 45 minutes. My wife ordered a BLT with no mayo; instead they delivered a BLT with no lettuce (a BT?). To be fair this is the first time they actually screwed up the order. We have ordered from or eaten there many times over the last few years. However, the speed of the service is always - and I mean always - problematic and it doesn't seem to matter whether you order via delivery or wait in the restaurant itself, or whether it's at a busy hour or when no one else is even there. I'm reasonably patient but the slowness of the service is astounding. It's a shame because we would order or eat there more often if it weren't for the incredibly slow service. I've been going here since 1974. I grew up the distance of a football field away, and this was pizza perfection to me. I went recently and got a small with onion on the whole pizza, hamburg on 1/2 and pepperoni on the other have. Not much has changed, still a great Greek Pizza, crispy crust, a little greasy just like it's supposedto be. I devoured it. Poor thing didn't stand a chance. A few things have changed at Newington Pizza, the staff, a remodel but that's about it. I think their Marque hasn't changed since 1967 when they opened. Just came out from the movies and I’m out here sitting in the front of the store munching away on a pepperoni pizza and bone in wings and everything is so fresh and hot, the pizza full of pepperonis there’s not even space to put more pepperoni! It was Awesome! And the wings are so crunchy when I say crunchy get those jaws ready because once you pierce trough that wing crust and explosion of juicy meat rushing in your mouth 🤤.
