My girlfriend came to this shop to get advice about our dryer that quit heating up. They are getting 2 stars because they were helpful with advise. In the end they said that it could be the timer that was bad. She asked if she could test the timer with a multimeter at home and the older gentleman told her that it couldn’t be tested with a multimeter and that she had to bring the part to him so they could test it. She removed the timer from our dryer and took it to him. They did the test for free but my girlfriend saw him use a multimeter which he said at the beginning that you couldn’t test the timer with a multimeter. In the end he couldn’t be 100% certain that the timer was actually bad and I wasn’t about to buy $121 timer from them that I couldn’t return if that part didn’t fix the issue. She then asked if we brought him the dryer could he properly diagnose it and he said yes he could and it would cost $30. I live in Griffin and this shop was recommended to us. My girlfriend physically went back and forth from griffin to this shop 3 times in a span of 4 days. My frustration is, why couldn’t he just tell us from day 1 that he could diagnose it for $30 if we brought him the dryer. That would have saved time, gas, money and many trips to a relatives house borrowing their dryer and not to mention probably earned and kept a...
Read moreI am not sure why this place is getting any negative reviews. The customer service I received was top notch. I had been troubleshooting my HVAC problem for two days in the middle of winter and could not wait over a week to get parts from Amazon. I brought in my old blower and the two gentlemen were quick to test it (and the capacitor), as well as sit down with me and look at pictures of my air handler's wiring diagrams. They explained to me what everything was and where I needed to measure voltage to troubleshoot my problem. With their help, I (having never worked on an HVAC system before) was able to determine it was the blower motor. I brought back my old one and they mounted the replacement motor into the blower housing for me and also sat down and showed me exactly how to hook it up into my specific system. If that isn't great service, I don't know what is.
The prices are reasonable. A replacement motor on amazon was $150 - $300 and a week and a half wait. I got one practically installed for me same day, at Newnan appliance for $150.
This is not a corporation where there are a ton of employees, this is a ma and pa store. When there are two people ahead of you and phones ringing, you can expect a small wait. That's just the way it is. If you don't like it, go to home depot. For me, its worth the wait for better one on...
Read moreMy Samsung dryer stopped heating. I looked up a few troubleshooting tips online and it appeared that it needed a new heating element. I got the dryer's model number and looked for the part online. $50, free shipping BUT it would take a few days to get to me. I decided to find a brick and mortar store so I could get the part same day, a quick google search brought me to this place. I called to check if they had the part in stock. The man I had the misfortune of speaking to was...well, I don't know how else to describe it as succinctly as.. he was an ass. Rude, short and condescending. AND the part was over $60, no refunds. I wanted my dryer fixed quickly, family of 5, two girls leaving for college next week, last thing we need is laundry piling up. My adult daughters offered to pick up the part. Apparently, they had the misfortune of having to deal with the same ass. He was just as rude to them as well. I will recommend to anyone I know...use Amazon, find it cheaper online and skip having to deal with "today's technology with yesterday's customer service" If this "customer service" is any indication, yesterday's customer service sucked.
The one highlight, the part worked and I am happily listening to my dryer...
