I was excited to take my toddler to visit this place due to all the great reviews, but after visiting, I’m not sure why it’s so highly rated. I’ve been to children's museums and I would describe this place more as a daycare center, but you obviously don’t leave your kids there. The person volunteering had her son there and immediately when we went into the costume room, he came in and took over what mine was playing with. No big deal, just went into another room. The 5 and under because it was empty. My child was having fun playing but I noticed right away how dirty everything was. And not end of the day dirty, but looked like nothing had been thoroughly cleaned in a while. The “tower” decorated in duct tape was peeling and there was a crumpled up latex glove underneath it. So we moved on to the Lego room where the volunteers son came in again and told my child they weren’t allowed to play with anything. We ignored him and played for a while but then my husband found a dirty piece of candy on the Lego table so we tried the art room. The table was extremely sticky and most of the markers were dried but we decorated a couple bunny squares to try and make the most of it. Then we were ready to leave and my child wanted to go back into the 5 and under room one more time before we left. So we did and again the volunteers son was in there and throwing up the yoga ball as high as he could. The volunteer told him to stop it and then left the room. He proceeded to close the baby gates and knock down a few larger toys so he could continue to throw the yoga ball up in the air. He almost hit us a few times and then launched himself into the ball at full speed and almost knocked into me. My husband had to grab our child out of the way or they would have been knocked into. That’s when we decided to wash our hands and leave. While my child and I were cleaning our hands, (in the sink full of dried paint and a soggy paper towel roll to dry our hands on.) the volunteers son kept demanding my husband watch him, (which he continuously said no thanks to.) and the boy kept launching himself and the ball into my husband to get him to look. At a certain point the kid knocked into the artwork we’d made and ruined it. Through the whole incident his mother was nowhere to be seen. I understand he’s just a child, but it’s not our responsibility to entertain someone else’s kid. And it being a small enough place with no one else there, there’s no way she didn’t hear us struggling with her child. All in all we were there for an hour and needless to say we won’t be back. I get that it’s a non profit but the place is run like an absolute circus and is not worth the trip...
Read moreThe whole place was very dirty, the floors and play mats made me nervous because you could see layers of dirt and grime (like it hasn’t been cleaned in months) so I ended up carrying my toddler around all of the toys seemed to be broken, and everything had the look of like garage sale toys, just grimy, missing pieces or actually broken. It says it’s a museum so I was expecting some kind of educational play or something but we just went from one room to the next being more and more disappointed that it was too dirty for me to feel comfortable letting my child play there and wishing I had saved...
Read moreHorrible place, aggressive and confrontational people dealing with young children without any patience or understanding, better of saving your $10 and blowing your nose with it, waste of money, time, and space, they don’t need to exist, they are worthless and have no place in this town, pathetic. Just another useless out of touch place wasting money and resources of the people of Newnan.
If you care about your children, don’t go because these people will bring out rage and violence in you by the way they talk...
