We usually really enjoy this place but we were there yesterday and were very disappointed with the service. We usually have the Ultimate French Toast (or Pancake) Breakfast and are very pleased. We ALWAYS ask for the french toast (or pancakes) to be held until the end of our meal at every restaurant we go to because we like to eat it last, kind of like dessert, and we like it to be hot. This has never been an issue - not at Town & Country or any other place. The waitress seemed put off when we said that’s how we wanted it and said she didn’t think we could do that but said she see. When she brought our food, she brought the french toast at the same time as everything else and said that the cooks couldn’t do it because there were too many tickets. The restaurant was not overly busy when we were there and as I’ve stated, this is something we’ve never had a problem with in the past. She didn’t even come back and tell us it couldn’t be done and give us a choice to proceed differently. Other than that, the food was very...
Read moreIf you're looking for a delicious southern home cooked breakfast....thus is the Place! My mom and I dropped in to this quaint local spot that's been open since 1999. Mom ordered the pancake breakfast which came with 3 giant pancakes, eggs, bacon, and home fries ( seasoned and pan fried diced potatoes) and I ordered the fried chicken tenders (4pc) and eggs which came with 4 fried tenders, eggs, a Biscuit, and home fries. I also ordered 2 Biscuits and Gravy to try. It was ALL sooo delicious. Some of the best Biscuits and Gravy I've ever had. The Biscuit alone was fluffy yet crispy and perfectly cooked in my opinion. The chicken tenders were outstanding. The home fries were a bit greasy, but to be expected. The eggs were scrambled to perfection 👌. The Best part is we got all that food for $32.50 before Tip! Incredible prices per portion. I honestly don't know whether to recommend this place or keep it my personal secret....but WOW 10/10 country breakfast...
Read moreWhen we eat out we usually find ourselves in a chain or fastfood restaurant. These places are generally good but result in the loss of American restaurants that specialize in the basic meal consisting of a protein, starch, vegetable, bread and dessert. Something commonly referred as a home cooked meal. Eating a meal here reminds me of the good old days. Whether breakfast, lunch or dinner, the meal was very good and delivered at a fair price. At the end of dinner I even ordered dessert. When was the last time you actually ate a proper red velvet cake? I actually remember because it was the last time I made it myself. Since then I order it on occasion and what I get is dry cake with excessively sweet icing. Not here. The cake is moist and full of flavor. The icing was a perfect balance of sweet and flavor. This is a wonderful place to eat. In fact, I would go there just for dessert. Next time I will try the meatloaf and for dessert, a piece of chocolate...
