I went to Biospa for the MiraDry treatment back in June. I told them my wedding was a month away and they assured me that this treatment will only cause up to 2 weeks of ā€œdiscomfortā€. I agreed to do this treatment because I was told things like ā€œit is a miracle procedureā€, ā€œyou are going to love itā€ and ā€œit is so easyā€ by all the staff including the physician who cleared me for the procedure, the front office people and the nurse who performed the procedure on me to a point I was pressured to pay for 2 treatments. At no point, was I informed of possible negative side effects. Since the procedure, I found out that a staff member and one of the medical directors experienced swelling for 6 weeks. This was never mentioned to me before the procedure and I was instead told there have been no cases associated with negative side effects since Biospa started doing this procedure 4 years ago. In addition, I wasn’t given the consent forms to sign until after I left the office after my procedure which is highly unethical. If I were told about any of these side effects, I would have never done this procedure. The same day I completed my treatment, I knew something wasn’t right. I developed severe swelling and pain in my underarms which started radiating to my lower arms and back. By next day, I had swelling in my chest, abdomen and arms all the way to my wrists. I couldn’t breathe so I ended up in the urgent care and they gave me a shot of steroid. The pain just got worse and worse. I contacted the Biospa every day to let them know about these reactions and they told me it will go away and that ā€œit’s just your body reactingā€. By day 10, I developed nerve pain in both arms and experienced numbness, tingling, inability to flex or make a fist. I was unable to use my arms to do simple tasks and needed constant care. My neurologist found lymph node infection at the sight where they injected. I was put on antibiotics and steroids for two months. I strongly believe that Biospa was extremely negligent in my care. The staff didn’t notify the medical directors until a week after my symptoms began. I couldn’t dance on the day of my wedding, my arms were all bruised and I couldn’t cover them with makeup. I have scar tissues all over my chest and arms as my MRI showed. I still have nerve pains and feel scar tissues all over my arms when I wake up in the middle of the night with severe pain. I asked them multiple times for a refund of this botched experience and the medical director said he will send me a refund authorization but they never did. He said he will give me an appointment so he can see my arms but he never did. After all these traumatizing experiences, they couldn’t even give back a refund even though I explained to the medical director that I have spent thousands of dollars on acupuncture treatment, doctor visits and scans. Also, my sweating never went away. Do not do this procedure at this spa. They will lie to you just to take your money and will take no responsibilities for their actions.

This review is specifically for Nurse Kat, as she has most recently been my injector for my lips. She was actually my first injector period. To be fully transparent, yes I already had lips that are considered full before any fillers were placed in them BUT my lips needed a bit of rejuvenation. I had some vertical lines that I wanted gone and my lips had started to disappear when I smiled. Rest assured that when I returned to Nurse Kat at BioSpa for lip filler, she understood my concerns and addressed them perfectly. I had one syringe of Juvederm XC in early October and loved the result! My lips were immediately smoothed out and rejuvenated. No more lines. They looked smoother and softer. Yes! Last week, I decided to give myself an early Christmas gift, with the desire to make my lips fuller and "pouty-er" and so luckily Nurse Kat was able to bless me with her skills again. This time, she added one syringe of Volbella and I truly have the lips of my DREAMS. The compliments on my lips have been non stop. They look and feel amazing. Kat knows LIPS. I couldn't be happier. Tell her what you want and she will achieve it. See for yourself! I'm obsessed with my lips (and others are too ;)

Love the BioSpa at PCPS! I got to try Skinvive (injectable hyaluronic acid) for the 1st time and it was a breeze. I usually don't like injecting anything into my face because my post-treatment look scares my husband, dog, daughters and other small children 😜. But I got done with treatment looking great and no one in my family got scared when I saw them after. The NP who worked on me was Adeline and she's amazing! I can't wait to go back and see her again. In addition to Adeline, the staff at checkout was also amazing. I wanted to get skincare products to complement my treatment so I asked a ton of questions about the different skincare lines they had. No question was left unanswered and they seem to really know (and use) the products. Always such a great experience with PCPS.

I've been going to this spa for almost 2 years for different services! I do have a favorite nurse, Carly McBurney, RN that has provided most of the services that I've purchased. She is great! I had the laser hair removal treatment done by her (which was pretty painful in the beggining) but she was so good in coaching me through the zaps. Reminding me to take deep breaths to help get through it!

I'm also a nurse that assist with medical procedures and I do the same with my patients in regards to simple reminders of slow deep breaths and talking them through the process. I realized how helpful that is as the tables were turned when I received my elective beauty treatments.

I really loved the fact that even though we were in a beauty medical spa, she still demonstrated the nursing characteristics needed when caring or treating someone. No superficialness at all. I've also received a couple PRP a.k.a vampire facials with her and as always she was great! I still have a couple more to go!šŸ˜ŠšŸ’†ā€ā™€ļøšŸ˜‰

In regards to a few reviews I've seen over unexplained consultation fees I haven't heard of that or have encountered it. I will say that I did have an encounter regarding billing issues which were resolved. I do think it was a misunderstanding where I thought the reception/customer service/biller thought I said something & I also heard her reply differently. Fortunately we realized what was said and it was cleared up! All I have to say is just do your homework be the adult you are and ask all the appropriate questions needed and take note of it! The "I don't know card" is pretty played out and as an adult I don't think you can continue to get away with it so that you can avoid paying for something you think is too much! The only think I can recommend is confirming all fees upon check on or before scheduling the desired appointment. That way you do not have any surprise billing issues.

All in all I really like this place and the services I've received I'm very happy with Carly McBurney, RN services provided & i highly recommend her! Thank you! Continue to be the awesome Nurse you are!šŸ’–šŸ˜Š

I will also say I've had nose surgery with Dr. Horowitz at the "Pacific Center Plastic Surgery", for the purpose of removing a childhood scar that I was always too scared to remove. I was concerned the about results ending worst than the original scar but it turn out wonderful! He was so nice, patient, & helpful with calming my nerves, doubts, & fears! I could not thank him enough for that! His staff are all great! No childish billing issues to complain about! I thought the scar I had would be unfixable and he took it as a simple task! The end result was awesome and looks like I never had it! Thank you for that!!!!šŸ˜ŠšŸ’– may God continue...

From the very first consultation, I could tell this was going to be different from other offices I’ve visited. The front desk staff was welcoming, and the consultation with the doctor was truly a pleasant experience. The doctor took the time to carefully listen to my concerns and goals, explained the treatment options in a way that was easy to understand, and never made me feel rushed. That alone gave me a lot of confidence moving forward.

When it came time for the treatment, the MSN, RN Advanced Specialist (Mancy M.) was nothing short of outstanding. She worked on my face with so much patience, precision, and genuine care—it really made all the difference. At every step, she checked in with me to make sure I was comfortable and reassured me about what she was doing. I never once felt like ā€œjust another patient.ā€ Instead, I felt like they truly cared about giving me the best possible outcome.

What impressed me most was the attention to detail. The specialist was meticulous, gentle, and thorough, which made the entire experience smooth and surprisingly relaxing. I also really appreciated their calm demeanor—it put me at ease and made me feel like I was in the hands of someone who is both highly skilled and compassionate.

The results so far have been fantastic, and I can already see the difference in my skin. Beyond just the results, though, the whole experience was professional, kind, and refreshing. It’s rare these days to find a doctor’s office where you feel so well taken care of from start to finish.

I would highly recommend this clinic and their team to anyone considering skin or laser treatments. If you’re looking for someone who combines expertise with patience and genuine care, this is absolutely the...
