Watching the sunset at Corona del Mar Beach was nothing short of magical. The vibrant blend of oranges, pinks, and purples lighting up the sky created a picture-perfect backdrop, making this an unforgettable experience with my kids.
We decided to climb the jetty for the best view, and it was absolutely worth it. The kids loved the adventure of hopping from rock to rock, and I appreciated how it gave us a unique vantage point to watch the sun sink below the horizon. It felt like we were closer to the beauty of the ocean and sky meeting. The gentle sound of the waves crashing against the rocks made the moment even more serene.
The jetty climb required a bit of caution, especially with little ones, but it added to the excitement. It was a great way to combine a little outdoor exploration with a peaceful moment of family bonding. The memories of watching the golden light reflect on the water with my kids by my side will stay with me forever.
If you’re planning a sunset outing here, I highly recommend climbing the jetty for the view (just wear sturdy shoes!). It’s a perfect mix of adventure and tranquility, ideal for creating cherished...

Anyhow this beach is big fun and different and safe as can be for small ones!!25 or so years ago * it’s amazing to this day! Clean up out beaches please help me with trash 🗑!! Read moreA magical spot tucked away in a small neighborhood lies a mostly private beach near a cove. The area extends near the jetty and harbor of Newport and offers amazing sunsets. Small caves are carved into the rocks here. Youll find a handful of BBQ pits and tables to snack at but most people bring their own chairs due to the crowds.
To get the the beach there are 3 options: if you're lucky parking is open in the lot, if not park in the neighborhood Walk down the stairs (it's quite a workout in the way back up) Or walk down the driveway sidewalk (this too is not an easy path)
The beach area allows for small controlled waves in mostly shallow water which makes it perfect for small kids but be watchful its still the ocean.
Definitely consider this a...
