First and foremost, every staff experience we had was warm and friendly. At the very least, we were made to feel welcome, and the staff were ready to accommodate. Overall, the experience was fine, but I can't say that I wasn't a bit disappointed. The top floor ocean view was a nice touch, but the âbalconyâ wasn't large enough to place a chair. The King Bed was comfy and the sheets were great. The carpets and bathtub needed updating and the living room ceiling had a big black splotch from water damage or something. Too easy to paint over to exist at a BW Plus, so this lost them a whole star alone. They didn't have proper drinking glasses either, which I thought was odd. We could get them via room service, though. We ordered room service twice and they messed up both times, but were very apologetic and did their best to make it right. We left our dishes out in front of our door at 8/9 and they were still there at 10 the next morning when we got breakfast, which means they don't have people walking the halls very regularly. Take that for what it's worth. Low staffing, probably. The food was pretty good, except the crispy duck fat potatoes are apparently "not supposed to be crispy", so temper your expectations. As a chef, I find this absolutely ridiculous. You can prepare a poached potato, roasted potato, braised, baked or fried...regardless, if you call a potato "crispy" [Webster's def: appealingly crunchy] on the menu, it should be as advertised. Halibut fish and chips were meaty, juicy, and crunchy and the house made tartar sauce was excellent. Dungeness Louie salad was also delicious. Big chunks of crab and a creamy, addictive dressing. Breakfast potatoes (medallions) were delightful and the ham + green chilli omelette was good. Chx apple Sausage was good. Bacon tasted great, but was cold. The fruit bowl was laughable. For $8 we got a small bowl of unripe melon (cantaloupe + honeydew) and some sour grapes. Lesson learned there. At that price, we should've seen a fresh strawberry, blueberries and kiwi fruit. Do yourself a favor and order coffee with room service, or go out for it. The room coffee is bad, especially combined with the notorious Oregon Coast tap water. Not bad, but better places for less dough. I expect more from BW Plus. Unless they make some changes, I won't be back to this BW location.

Newport is one of our favorite places to visit. Ocean view was a must for us and the hotel didn't disappoint. Wasn't aware the hotel had 6 floors as we were on the 4th. The view was amazing and just having the door open to listen to the ocean a great plus. The rooms have been remodeled and the decorations and furniture is very nice, even enjoyed having the popular barn wood door for the bathroom. All the fixtures are very nice and it has all been nicely done. The only downfall was the ratty towel we had that didn't match any of the others! :). If there could ever be one request of hotels it much bigger towels! If there is anything we would complain about is walking down the hallways and seeing the trash people put outside their doors. We have just never understood why people can't leave it in the room or actually walk it to the trash themselves. The pool even had adult hours and that is great. We had dinner the first night at the Sea Glass and it was so good. Our waitress was amazing and the Margaritas were so very good. We use to live in Newport a few years ago and hubby was the Sysco Delivery Driver so coming back and checking out the places has been nice.

Beautiful hotel! Amazing locationđ Good rooms, dog friendly, they have dogâs treats in lobby, nice pool and hot tub ( honestly, the pool doesnât look very clean, maybe itâs better to go when it just opens) , small gym, laundromat, business center and restaurant. Breakfast is not included but the prices are average, waiters are great , amazing ocean view and fire in the evening , very tasty food, good coffee. Fell in love with the hotel, would recommend it to everyone. The only problem we had was with the bathroom, our shampoo and body wash bottles were empty, only conditioner was full, I let the receptionist know, she forgot, I reminded her in few hours and they refilled it. Everything else was great!
