Solo Road Trip | From San Francisco to Portland Part 3

This bridge is so beautiful, I make a point to walk up every time I'm in Newport. There's parking and beautiful stairs conveniently tucked beneath the bridge and narrow sidewalks on both sides of the bridge. And, no sketchy people under! Score! The photo opportunities are endless, I could have spent hours up here with a good camera. I would not suggest bringing small kids onto the bridge, as the sidewalks are too narrow to be able to walk side by side and hold hands. Well behaved dogs might be okay, but cars go pretty quick and there is little to no barrier between the sidewalk and the road.

We braved the walk over and back one early October morning. The sidewalks are narrow and a little scarey but that didn't bother us. Ones you get to the top the views are nothing short of absolutely flippin amazing! We were blessed with a clear and sunny sky and i imagine a typical foggy or rainy day would not be as pretty (ok, it would suck...). We recommend going accross on one side and back on the other to get the most of the views. Wear a coat or a jacket or whatever. Gloves too. It gets cold and windy up there!

This bridge has always captured my attention, not only for it's historical feel , but for its massive structure in size, it is really amazing if you get the chance to walk across this massive window of sea breeze, dreams, & the fresh smell of sea salt Pacific, and feeling of old fashioned, hard work, and respect. I can pick up on other dark energy from time to time, but I truly believe its better with watchers of night , watchers by day . Love new port Oregon I would like to begin a tour guide in the month of May , BBQs under the...
