The Spot — Attraction in Newton

In the area visiting friends in Hickory, I spotted this comic shop close by and decided to stop by and check them out. I was astonished at the variety and depth of stock items. Comics, cards, figurines, Pops, Star Wars collectibles, Star Trek collectibles, Hot Wheels, etc. I would not have believed the huge stocks from the outside.

Plus some oversized Star Wars items: R2D2, a Droid, and a diorama of Dogabah. These guys are fans first and retailers second. Had a nice conversation about comics and left them with information on checking out my collection and possible deals.

Great selection of older back stock comics and vintage toys and video games. Store is in a nice location for access and parking. Comic prices are on par with current market prices and I was able to find several deals. The vintage video games were priced reasonably as far as I have seen with other local shops. They don't carry new comic books and I believe they don't intend to any time soon. ...
