Pepper Hola — Restaurant in Newton

-I am a little torn between my 2 visits @ Pepper Hola over the last month. My 1st visit we had delivery of the pepper Hola burger and the classic burger with the bacon cheese fries and cheese sticks and we were impressed with the flavor and the freshness of the ingredients, everything was awesome. -Then the most recent visit was very similar to the 1st order food wise, and I could be mistaken but it seems as if the burger itself is a out the box burger patty, similar to the ones you can buy @ Sam's Club. (You can tell the difference once the burger meat cools down to room temperature.) My 1st visit did not have the same burger meat on it, In my opinion the burger meat and a lil grease is where most the flavor comes from and then all the condiments just add layers of flavor. -Hopefully it was just a product shortage because with all the other fresh ingredients they use along with a fresh burger patty, It truly would be the Best burger in Catawba county. -Still giving out 4-stars because staff is super friendly, restaurant is very clean including the kitchen. Looks like they actually scrub the kitchen...

My wife and I ate there for lunch today, I had a corn burger and she had an arepa Burger. We also got an arepa con queso for our son and an order of churros.

Everything, no exceptions, was fresh off the press in all its piping hot deliciousness. The burgers and ingredients were hot and fresh, the fries were absolutely amazing in texture, temperature, and taste, the churros were dangerously decadent, and the service was top notch care. The whole experience blew me away.

The one drawback was that I felt the price point was slightly on the expensive side. That thought is definitely offset with how good of quality the ingredients tasted, so I didn't feel like I got ripped off per se, but it was definitely not somewhere I would go if I knew I didn't have an extra $30 or $40 in my budget, And I was a little surprised that the combo price for our burgers only included the burger and fries, drinks were separately charged.

All in all, it was a really great experience with really great food, and I will definitely be back again the next time I'm in that area and have the...

Went to Pepper Hola for lunch today...it was good...I got the pepper Hola burger and my mom got the Classic burger and we split a fry. The good: it was pretty good with the jalapeños, egg, bacon, and cheese. My mom said her classic was pretty good..the fries were not bad. I was expecting a very flavorful burger with all the toppings it had, but it wasn't..but it was still good. The bad: the one little piece of bacon was almost raw, barely done at all so it was super chewy, basic small burger patty, and it was $12 for just the burger. The classic with fries was $12.95, total $25.95 and no drinks. We ordered crinkle fries per the menu and received a small serving of shoestring fries instead. We wanted to try it and we did...probably won't be back for the price for what we got compared to other burger places. I will add that the place was clean and the lady at the counter...
