Iâve been going to Trex Land since they opened, but I had a very disappointing experience hosting my sonâs birthday party here.
When I first booked, I spoke with Robin who assured me I could add extra pizzas, drinks, and admissions on the day of the party if needed. I paid half upfront and later paid the remaining balance, updating my order to 5 pizzas. About a week before the party, Robin even called me asking for payment again. I was confused because I had already paid in full. When I told her this, she laughed and said my receipt was in the back and I was good. We confirmed againâ5 pizzas and drinks.
On the day of the party (Aug 16), things went downhill quickly. The staff only brought 3 pizzas and told me they had changed their policyâno same-day add-ons. This policy was changed after I booked, and I was never informed. I had to beg to get the additional 2 pizzas I had already ordered, but they didnât arrive until 30 minutes before my time in the party room was up. Meanwhile, the attendant assigned to me kept disappearing, leaving me to chase down guests and manage everything myself instead of spending time with my son.
To make matters worse, right before cutting the cake I was told I had 5 minutes left in the room and had to get out. I asked for 10 more minutes and was denied. I was also told I couldnât serve cake outside the room, only to be told later that I actually couldâafter half my party had already left. And despite being rushed out, no one used the room for another hour after we left.
The kids had fun, but the day was stressful, chaotic, and not what I was promised. I tried calling multiple times afterward to speak with the owners but never received a call back. I finally got an email offering a one-month pass and 10% off my next party, but after this experience I will not be booking another.
Buyer beware: If you book a party here, youâre subject to any policy changes they decide to makeâeven if you booked under different terms. And double-check your receipts, because they even tried to charge me again after I had already...
Read moreWe celebrated my grandbabyâs 1st birthday here, and although we came in with good vibes, the experience quickly went downhill. I arrived at the scheduled time, and her mother and other guests were already there. Once the decorations were up and more guests arrived, we only saw the hostess once â when she passed out wristbands and socks. After that, she was nowhere to be found. My niece had to keep going back and forth to get socks for kids as they arrived, and my son even had to have her paged at one point.
Her other grandmother noticed the hostessâs attitude right away â she looked frustrated or unhappy the entire time, as if she didnât want to be there. When we asked to order more pizza, the first response was, âItâs too late; we may not have enough.â Then she said, âYouâll have to pay for it,â as if I expected it for free. I told her we understood and just wanted to order two more.
At that point, we asked to speak with a manager to explain our concerns. The manager was already aware of the hostessâs attitude because others had mentioned it before. When I spoke with the owner about the pizza situation, he explained they actually order pizzas from an outside place since their kitchen hasnât been approved to open yet. I thought that was strangeâif thatâs the case, maybe they shouldnât be selling pizza at all.
When I asked what could be done, his response and body language came off not as a owner should, which was disappointing given the money my kids spent. We ended up finishing the party still having to chase down the hostess for forks and a knife just to cut the cake.
Overall, the service was terrible except for Aleshaâshe really tried her best to fix things. The owner did eventually comp one pizza and offered free tickets, but at that point, the experience was what it was. I didnât want to argue further; kids had fun in the bounce house so ill take that as a pluse. I just know I wonât be going back. Next time, Iâll stick with...
