Golden Wok (Norfolk) — Restaurant in Norfolk

Today I had a very disappointing encounter with the restaurant. I frequent often so yesterday I ordered 2 dinner meals shrimp egg fooyung and orange chicken also 2 orders of wings chopped. Fast forward the orange chicken was for my daughter who was at work. She came home and started to eat her food she got off at 9PM. About 1030 she came out her room and had only eaten her rice and egg roll. She asked me if I wanted it I said no later that night I woke up and decided to eat some of her food. The meat was an awkward texture when I ate it no matter how long I chewed the meat would not break down to swallow it was stringy and I tried it twice more same results. So I called this morning and expressed my dissatisfaction. So I take the leftovers to them to show and the response was why didn't I call as soon as it happened. Keep in mind it was after 1030 and she didn't share with me that the meat was not edible. I only realized it late when I tried it. So she offered me $3 refund I was disappointed with that as I felt as though I should have been given a FULL REFUND. I said give me $4 she did so reluctantly with the side comment one dollar you need a dollar? Terrible customer service. Great food why would I just bring this meal only worth $7 and I spent $34???? 03/22/24 So these guys are going to be closed from March 25th to May 7th, they are going on vacation. So keep that in mind. I had Bourbon Chicken, they changed the way they make it but it is still good egg rolls always solid. Great spot. 06/01/23 Wanted some food and thought of this old favorite. The bourbon chicken has changed over the years but it is still very tasty. The sauce seems to have changed but still really good. Some great crispy bits but the big pieces are very tender.
