Janaf Shopping Center — Local services in Norfolk

Went to El Rodeo Restaurant at Janaf Shopping Center and the experience could of been better! Personally, I ordered a combo with Enchilda,Taco and Chalupa and got got a messy plate with all 3 items looking the same (which makes me think they thought I couldn't tell the difference ...so they passed off 3 identical items off as what i ordered) Secondly, in our group of 4 we had starter chips with salsa and white sauce and the sauce portions were skimpy. The salsa was weak, bland and tasted like it was watered down. When, the server came by later we asked for more white sauce but he never brought it so I went up and flagged somebody down for more white sauce and that portion too was skimpy! The server never came back and asked us if we wanted refills on our drinks.

In fact, the server came by only once during our meal to ask us how we were doing and that was early on just shortly after we got our meal!

Overall, I rate the service a 2 out of 5! The portions , though, were decent size and reasonably priced...

However, next time give the customer what they ordered....( I should of told them to take it back and give me what I ordered!)

Personally, I have had far been service and meals at Plaza Azteca I will think of Plaza Azteca next time over this place if I desire a Mexican...

Went to Martins and had the WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. I go on a regular but last Sunday was Horrible. Should of stayed away when the sign on the door said looking for cook it was gonna be bad! I get my usual smothered pork chops w/ Mac and cheese and greens. My order is ready and lady shows me and I said it was supposed to be smothered she yells to the back and they bring me a small cold cup of gravy, HUH, WTH is this? So the cook I guess comes out with my cold cup of gravy along with her child from the back & walk outside. Oh hell no the meat was so DRY AND OVERCOOKED THAT THERE WAS NO MEAT. MAC & CHEESE WAS BLAND AND DRY. GREENS WERE SO SALTY. WASTE OF MY MONEY- ENDED UP THROWING IT AWAY!!!LOOK I DON'T KNOW WHO OR WHAT IS GOING ON BUT DO BETTER! I KNOW I WON'T BE GOING BACK AND HAVE LET OUR REPS THAT BRING US CATERED LUNCH NOT TO BRING US FOOD FROM HERE AS WELL! U CAN TELL BY LOOKING AT THE PICS THIS TRAY WAS DISGUSTING. I HAVE NEVER & NEVER WILL. Only good thing was the roll. The cake was so DRY IT HAD TO OF BEEN BAKED AT LEAST 4 DAYS PRIOR.
