Holy Cross Cemetery & Mausoleum — Attraction in North Arlington

in this world, there are people who get buried alone, close family members only, or more than 60+ people. i personally didn’t like how i got treated, my lovely grandma had all of her close friends, the church people, and of course family. at first her friends pass by to throw the flower on her casket to say their last goodbyes. after, that the staff kind of started to get impatient and started to rush those who were passing by to say goodbye. on top of that they also had a bucket of dirt to throw with your flower. i need to say my final goodbyes to my grandma and in order for me to do that i had to go around the group of people who already threw their flowers. as i was about to get close to the hole where the casket is at the staff members immediately started shouting “the ceremony is now over please move out the way and thank you”. as i was sobbing i immediately told them that they can not just end a ceremony without letting the rest of us to say our final goodbyes. to avoid that problem they could’ve just said “is there anyone else that still has a flower that would like to step up?”. after, that my brother spoke to the guy who argued with me. i have no idea what he told him but the guy came back to me to apologize. this happened in september 2022, i would not recommend this place for someone who has a lot of family...

What an utterly disgraceful thing to do to the deceased. Unfortunately my aunt was placed in the mausoleum and prior to her being placed they were informed that they spelled her name incorrectly. Four phone calls and they're refusing to fix it. Steer clear of this place the office and the administration there is just horrible they have no remorse, no feelings for the deceased it's all about money and greed to them. Please look for a different Mausoleum before you have your heart broken as they take no accountability for their errors. It is a simply fix to her name by adding an N and is something they're not willing to do. Do not use this place. The lack of compassion for the deceased, the lack of respect for the deceased, and the lack of moral integrity speaks volumes, it is a horrible place due to the unkind administration that is running this place. There's plenty of beautiful mausoleums include including the one in East Hanover that is much more pleasant the staff is much more amicable and willing to correct the wrongs. This place...

Just spoke to a woman at the Holy Cross cemetery business office by the name of Linda at approximately 1:30 on March 30th 2022. I attempted to explain to Linda that my siblings and I were interested in selling a cemetery plot that we own at Holy Cross. After about two brief sentences, Linda stated to me and interrupted me in a very nasty fashion and stated "what's your question"? I was and still am very shocked by her behavior towards me. I needed to explain the details of my situation, however she was not interested. I do not know this woman but it was obvious that she is very unhappy at her job. If this is the manner in which she receives grieving family members, it is very sad. I intend to meet with the Director in person to discuss further.
