Fire Pit Barbecue — Restaurant in North Arlington

Boy, what a difference in the sense of smell & the sense of taste! In this case its a direct opposite!. From outside of the fire pit bbq the aroma smelled so delicious & we couldn't wait to sit down & order. Anticipating a delicious bbq meal we waiting patiently....ahhhhhh! Here it comes, mouth watering....can't wait for the 1st bite! But, wait-let me take another bite ,omg! There's absolutely no taste ( we had the chicken & ribs). Ribs so rubbery, chicken pieces looked like it was a pigeon instead of a chicken- absolutely no taste. Drenched the food with the squeeze bottle of bbq sauce and that didn't even help! My dinner was the blaaa French fries. Couldn't eat the food, my husband's false teeth came out connected to the rib meat!- when we were ordering , the waiter said " don't order 2 meals, this is enough for two" thank God we listened- YUK! And btw it wasn't. I'm just thankful we didn't have to pay for 2 meals. The staff was sloppy looking, 1 waitresses hair was so messy, her hair was supposed to be In a ponytail but it was all out of the rubber band except for a few strands. Looks like she just rolled out of bed- I firmly believe to go by the appearance of the waiters, & waitresses, and it proved to be true- I should've went with my womens intuition, but my husband was dying for bbq- well we died with disappointment! I wanted to drive down the road a bit to Boston Market but my husband got his way! Ok, husbands take a lesson - listen to your wife's Intuition, but if you still want to try this place hopefully you don't have false teeth- & expect absolutely no taste ! Smells so good- but tastes so bad! I had to give it 1 star or I couldn't leave a review- but this place deserves 0 stars, sorry Fire Pit, that was our experience! BTW, we went to dairy queen right after to get the nasty taste out of our mouths. Should of went to Boston Market like I wanted! Oh my, I just read some other reviews. They must be related to the owner- if you look you'll see the honest reviews ( they aren't related to owner) I say it like it is! I just thought of something, maybe there's 2 firepits in this area, because there's NO WAY that those people from the good reviews ate where we did!...

My cousin Stephanie planned an amazing surprise birthday dinner party at this restaurant for her Mom. They have a large private room, which accommodated our group of nearly 30 people (but can certainly fit more). The tables were set up in a U shape to allow us to sit close together not missing a beat. There was plenty of space between the dining tables and table displaying the cake towards the front of the room (that space quickly turned into a dance floor). The restaurant is BYOB friendly, allows your own decorations and music of your choice (we brought our own JBL speaker).

We had a prefix menu selected by Stephanie, including the most spectacular butter garlic shrimp (I've ever had), cheese & meats platter, french fries, rice&beans, an array of BBQ meats, ugh hope I'm not missing anything. Oh HINT: order the butter garlic shrimp sauce on the side and dip the meats in that.. You're Welcome.

Tony Tony Tony! Tony was our badass server whom made sure we needed NOTHING. As soon as you thought you wanted something Tony or his partner were answering the call! Like I said there were about 30 of us and 2 of them, but they made it happen, didn't have to wait long for anything. We were all super full and happy as hell! The food was delicious. I had to save some for lunch the next day, as did the rest of my family. They provided medium tin trays to take our leftovers home. Tony also had to work around us dancing merengue, salsa, the Cha Cha slide to get more food&drink refills. LOL! He had such a positive, uplifting, energetic & fun personality. This food is only good if you are Hispanic/Latino. I have been there twice. The first time , it was a little iffy, but I said I would give it another chance. Which brings me to 07/28/2022. The thin waitress was rude. Everybody's food that came out looked fantastic , even the French fries. The ribs full uncut. I ordered Half Rack, two sides. I have never in my life received ribs cut in halfs or thirds. Everybody else had full ribs , great french fries. How do I know , I got up and looked. The lady next to me ordered the same Half Ribs with rice and beans . Her ribs were full size. Our fries were overcooked and most of them very small. Like the leftovers from a fresh batch. My sons meal looked more like sloppy joe than pulled pork that was way too salty. I picked the decent ribs from my plate and gave it to him. Horrible experience. That definitely says "Don't Come Back" No worries I wont. Latinos Come and enjoy the delicious food...
