The Laughing Shield Comic Shop — Attraction in North Attleborough

The folks over at the Laughing Shield are amazing! I was a comic reader as a kid but stopped for a few years. I recently picked up reading again and the game has changed quite a bit. Pam and Kevin where both so incredibly helpful in helping me with subscriptions, grading, and recommendations.

The store may be smaller than what some may be used to , but the quality in service and care is far above any other shop. They make sure every comic on the shelf is in great condition, if not, they will re-order issues to make sure the customers are getting quality comics. When it comes to graded issues, Kevin carefully inspects your comics and gives his expert and honest opinion on the condition of the issue. If there are any ways to make improve the grade, he will provide recommendations that are best for the customer, not the store.

Stopped by this LCS about 6 miles away from Gillette Stadium. I cannot express how impressed I was. Not entirely huge but space is used great.Very clean, welcoming and a good selection. Their Silver Age books are all separated. Then the modern books are alphabetized and by publisher.As well as a good selection of slabbed books. What impressed me the most is the shelving system. The books are in short boxes and on a shelf. How ever the shelf is with drawer slider hardware. So no lifting the box...simply slide the shelf out. I would .. This is my FAVORITE spot for comics. Kevin and Pam are always extremely helpful, friendly, and offer the best customer service. There is always something new to see (or buy, if you're like me), and I love that my comics are always put away for me with care and ready for pickup when I stop in. If there is something you want to order or pre-order, they are helpful with that, too! I can't recommend their pull list option enough, either, and the option to have everything bagged and boarded for pickup is amazing!!!
