I guess I should have done a quick Google of Aspen Dental before I wasted my time. I have a tooth that has a HUGE hole in it. My dentist can't get me in until Thursday morning (don't worry they are no longer going to be mine either after this long wait and refusal to call me back). I was in so much pain this weekend that I immediately searched up an emergency dentist. I found Aspen, they had an appointment available at 4:00, and they advertised emergency dentist and I put in severe tooth pain/broken tooth. I got in there and saw free x-rays and all that...ok...not a big deal but was a nice extra. I got all my x-rays done and the technician said "wow, I can see why you're in so much pain. The hole is almost your whole tooth." So I went in the room and a hygienist came in...ok. She said I just want to check your gums before the doctor comes in. I had to beg her not to touch the bottom where the pain was so bad. So she started about some gum treatment plan and all that. I said I can't really think about that right now. Let me get through this first. So the "Doctor" came in. You'll see why I put that in quotations later. He looked at my x-rays and started on about this front tooth I have a permanent crown on and his concern. I said "Look, are you going to pull this tooth or what?". He said we will get to your main concern after I go over these other things. Then we will talk about some options as this is a Meet and greet. This other stuff is just as important. I asked him again if he was going to fix my problem and he said "We will talk about options you can decide on at a later time". I said "So you're not going to take care of this now?!?" He said no and you can leave any time. I said well of course I'm leaving. I came here for emergency dental care, not to be talked into some dental plans over stuff that isn't an emergency. I said to him "What kind of Doctor is going to let a patient leave their office in such pain and not do anything about it?" I was calm but pissed. He acted like this has happened a million times before because he went into robot mode and a scripted line about me able to leave at any time and showed me to the door. I don't need your "free stuff"...I needed a tooth pulled and to be pain free. Since my other dentist is not helping either, it's very likely I would have looked into some of the other options. Well I googled lawsuits and bad reviews and not a member of the BBB and on and on just now. My fault for not doing it before! For the first 10 years when I moved here, I would still go to Salem, Ohio to see my dentist there. I wish I hadn't ever stopped.
Well there is the "Doctor" and the lies right on the front of the building if anyone ever thinks they need an emergency dentist, stay away from...
Read moreI had heard countless horror stories about Aspen Dental—not necessarily this location, but the company as a whole and other offices in the surrounding area. By the time I came across these stories, I had already attended my first appointment and paid for my treatment plan. Despite my initial concerns, I have experienced nothing but positive outcomes here.
Over the past month and a half, I’ve had multiple appointments to address all the dental work I needed. Every member of the staff was incredibly kind and accommodating. Despite how busy they are, they made an effort to remember me by name—something most dental offices I’ve visited in the past did not do.
Today marked my final appointment, where I had two extractions and a crown placed. (The crown was for a tooth another dental office in the area had performed a root canal on but failed to advise me about or schedule follow-up treatment.) Aspen Dental took over from there and did a phenomenal job. Both Dr. Wang/Wong and the oral surgeon (whose name I unfortunately can’t recall) were quick and efficient—I was in and out within 35–40 minutes.
Because of the excellent care and kindness I’ve received, I referred my boyfriend to this location, as well as his sister. (His sister, I should note, had previously been told by the Wrightsboro Road location that she would feel everything during her treatment, which was unsettling.) My boyfriend had been to other dentists who only provided two expensive treatment options for fixing a single issue he needed addressed. Aspen Dental, on the other hand, offered more than just two options—these were affordable and came with flexible payment plans tailored to our budget.
In fact, the cost of his entire treatment plan—including some dental hygiene products—was less than what the original dentist wanted to charge for fixing a single issue. Aspen also allowed us to apply for different payment plans, some of which could help build credit while others didn’t report to credit at all.
All in all, both my boyfriend and I have had nothing but great experiences at this location. We appreciate the staff’s professionalism and their ability to build genuine rapport with us. We’ll definitely continue coming back here.
And to Ms. Lakeisha, we truly appreciate your kindness and for ensuring we fully understood everything about our treatment plans. Thank you for working with us when we needed to reschedule appointments or fit in earlier due to our hectic schedules. We’re also grateful to you for taking the time to simplify everything—from the payment plans to the dental jargon and beyond.
Thank you all for...
Read moreMy mother has been trying to get three root canals. The first appointment was scheduled on a saturday at 3:15pm, she didn’t leave that building until 7pm due to them double scheduling people. She had chemicals leak down her throat causing extreme stomach pain for two days. She said it tasted like bleach but wasn’t sure. Finds out she had BLEACH stains on her shirt. Then they reschedule her appointment for temporary crowns THREE times. and as we’re sitting in their waiting room, an hour into waiting and paying 700 dollars for these crowns, they ask if we want to leave and reschedule? like we haven’t already done it three times? If you’re understaffed and know you won’t have the people why keep scheduling more patients? it seems they never have staff or just like to jam as many people as they can into one day. Car sales men with no clue. EDIT::: I typed this before the appointment started. We got called back an hour later, which they did tell us it was going to be a wait due to being short staffed. We get back there the assistant is super sweet and nice. they numb my mom up, get her all ready and are now just waiting on the dentist. I leave because i’m told it’s a two hour process and i go to get some food. 30 minutes later im back because they tried to crown a tooth that had already been previously crowned!! and when my mother said that they made her go back out to the front desk lady to talk to her about it without even doing her other two crowns!! so after two hours and thirty minutes of waiting and being numbed, their trying to reschedule her again because THEY messed up her treatment plan!! I set my foot down finally because i hate seeing my mother in pain. Plus who has that much time to be taking off work?? She already has to come back to get her permanent crown and that’s another day she will be losing money!! So finally after that they did take her back and i’m currently sitting her waiting for them to be done. A 9am appointment and won’t be getting out till probably 12-1pm. This is the same place in the past that told me i needed a deep cleaning, but when seeing another doctor was told i didn’t need one at all. Like i said above, car sales men waiting to squeeze every dime out of you and your insurance. Watch closely. I am fuming and upset that we will have to finish my mothers dental work here until then. But they really leave you no choice when you’ve already spent nearly a grand on...
