Charros Express Mex — Restaurant in Evans

;TLDR; This is the best Mexican restaurant in the CSRA hands down and among the best that I've been to across the world.

There's restaurants that local's say are the best Mexican restaurant in town and there's restaurants that actually ARE the best restaurant in town. Charros IS the best hands down. I haven't ever had street tacos this good in the CSRA and it rivals the ones I've had around the world and back again.

Service: A+ Prompt and friendly! Speed: A+ It only took about 10-15 minutes for our order to arrive and it arrived piping hot. Quality: A+ The ingredients tasted fresh and the seasoning was perfect. The refried beans could have used a touch more salt, but that's just preference and getting really nit-picky. It's that good, that the only bad thing I can say is a nit-pick. Value: A+ Three over stacked street tacos and beans for 10$ is an amazing value. The rest of the menu was priced well below what I would pay for a meal of this quality as well. Decor: Despite express being in the name, it is a nicely decorated sit-down restaurant that I would gladly take a date to. The decor is simple yet effective, using great texturing and color patterning. It looks very new inside as well, a place for the owner and staff to be proud of.

The only thing that would be nice is to be able to have a beer or mixed drink with my dinner, the margins on alcohol sales would help the restaurant's revenue as well with its wide margins. I know they haven't been open too long, and so maybe that's a work in progress, but even without it, they are killing it on the food quality. You don't want to pass this place up.

We'll be stopping by here anytime we're in the mood for the best Mexican food in town! Keep up the great work...

2022-05: Second time customer and still extremely impressed with this business, from the ladies working at the front/bar, and gentleman cooking the food we took out tonight, to the cleanliness of the restaurant. Ordered some food to go and had a pleasant time talking to some patrons and staff while we sat at the bar and waited. I was introduced to the Charros Dip by my friend. OH MY, SO MUCH YES. Try it, you'll understand. My friend had a Create Your Own Combo with a Taco and Tostada, while I had the Carnitas. I was stuffed and still kept eating. Such great flavor, portions, and quality overall. Charros Express Mex is a must for lovers of Mexican cuisine. A must.

2021-12: Came in on a Friday just as they were opening for lunch. The restaurant itself was clean , maintained well, and laid out nicely. Just the the right amount of tables in the dining area, as well as a small bar if you'd prefer. They offer a drive-thru, which I will definitely utilize in the future.

The staff was polite and friendly. The pricing on the menu is a bit higher than what some are used to seeing, but the portions, quality, and taste make you understand the prices. The homemade salsa and chips were good. The salsa had a kick, more than what you'd typically get at a Mexican type restaurant around the area. We got the Street Tacos, trying a barbacoa, chorizo, and asada, as well as the Chili Verde. Everything was excellent! You can tell they use high quality ingredients and have a talent for making their food with a great overall balance of the ingredients within each item.

Very glad I got to finally try this place, and I will definitely be back. Highly recommend others try...

This place is my new fave! Omg the service was fantastic! Our waitress was kind and welcoming! The restaurant was so clean and nice looking inside!

We ordered 2 drinks. I forgot their exact names, but one was a type of margarita, and the other well, just look at the pic, lol! 🤣😂 They were both really good! And we would order them again!

Charro nachos! Soooo beyond good, and they come with beef & chicken! Definitely recommend! 😋

Ceviche (shrimp) is absolutely delish! It was so flavorful and fresh! If you like ceviche, get this!

3 street tacos (barbacoa & asada) the tacos were full of meat, not the skimp crap other places serve. Full of meat. Very flavorful. Beyond good!

Camarones al mojo de ajo! Shrimp was cooked perfectly! The food was all flavorful, and I enjoyed this plate! 😋

Fried ice cream! Yaaassss 😋 you have to get some sweets after! It was soooooooo good! Omg 😋

Zero complaints! 10/10. I highly recommend this place! And with the large portion sizes, we were so stuffed!

Shout out to the cooks! Whoever you are! Thank you for making such good food and flavoring it! Other places around serve bland mexican food. And I don't understand it. So thank you! You guys are on point! We will definitely be back!
