🎯PICK UP YOUR PETS POOP🎯 Nice views, wilderness surrounding, Nice park, nice tall trees for shade in the summer, plenty of parking (about 60 parking spaces on both ends of both the dog park & kid playground, picnic area) nice trails, play ground for kids ,train station near by to go on kiddie rides, plenty of space to explore, water pump so you can bring a bowl and have water there already, snobby privileged people of coarse but I listen to music so they are filtered out ....good place to have a family event such as bday party, reunion, reception, and more. I would recommend this park mostly for the facilities not the people who are usually there. If you can look past the people, you'll have a pleasant time with your pets, kids ,&other family members...

These people here are the most unfriendliness dog owners I've ever met. First time experiencing racism too. As I was walking to my car at this dog park there was a white male in a greyish blueish type Jetta. He was very loud and I assumed he was on his cell. He was talking loud enough so that I could hear him on purpose. He mentioned Emmitt Till (African American child who was murdered for whistling at a white woman during the civil right era) saying, I want to cut up Emmitt Till along with two other civil rights activist who were also murdered over 50 years ago.

I'm saying this to say this, I am at a dog park! You don't expect to encounter this type of interaction!

We are in such a negative political climate that's only getting worse!

Minorities visiting this dog...

Irresponsible owners are rampant these days who do not pay attention or intervene when their dog is being aggressive. Spent 30 minutes watch 2 dogs take turns humping my dog today. My husband and I kept pulling them off when it would go on for extended periods. One owner nowhere to be found, the other one apparently just didn't care. This is not play when your dog is doing nothing but stalking and humping another dog. This is not the first time at this park this has happened. Also saw another dog take a dump, which who knows where that owner was but it wasn't seen. Losing my patience...

This is a great dog park! It has two huge fenced in spaces for different sized dogs and lots of room for people to sit including benches, a picnic table, and a table under a gazebo. There are lots of dog bowls to put water in and waste bags available! The dogs love the multiple rock sculptures and big fallen down trees for them to climb and play on! Plus there is always a good amount of dogs there especially if you go during the middle of the day you will see alot of the same owners and get to know each other. We absolutely love this park and can't recommend it enough!

Really liked this dog park. We went around 2pm on a Tuesday, only two other dogs in the small area but the big-dog area? It was popular.. probably 10-15 of them! I was happy only a few were in the small area because my pug can be a bit scared but no problems! Very clean, everyone picks up after the dogs- no misbehaving- all dogs were friendly and kept their distance. There are two dog bowls left, one for each area. Clean water. Two benches in the small area so it’s easier to maintain distance. The big area looks like it has 4 tables and 2 benches.

This place is great for dogs. With the trees, rock agility feature, water faucet, and large space it really was great for my two dogs. They ran so much with the other dogs they’ll sleep for days. People seem very respective to pickup poop and also attentive if an issue arises between two dogs. Out of the numerous parks in the DMV area this is one of the best ones I’ve found.
