Frankie's is a fun place to go for sure, but I am in-different with a few things about it! Especially the staff..
I just moved here from West Virginia a few months back, so I have a lot of experience with places like this that are in WV and Ohio. So I'll touch base with that during my review.
The Good: -The Mini Golf looks super fun, I haven't tried it but we plan on it since it's getting into the colder months! -The Bumper Boats were pretty fun when we went on them. Sometimes steering is a little hard, but once you figure it out it's easy. It's definitely good for a hot day! -The games itself are fun to play, especially the Mario Cart, Air Hockey, Skeet Ball, Basketball, and the Claw Machines -The Prizes aren't too bad, you can get some decent prizes for the points up there
The Bad: -The Game Cards... I hate these for so many reasons. Most games use to cost 1 or 2 tokens, with the exception of the Jurrasic Park ride or Deal or No Deal costing 3 or 4. With the game car everything is $1 or more which mean you get about 20 swipes with $20 instead of $20 gets you 100 tokens which means so many games! It's just not the same -The ID You Crew.. I understand they don't want unruly children in there alone after a certain time, that's fine. That's actually good! But they ID everyone. I just turned 21 and my boyfriend is 25. I don't carry my purse in everywhere I go, so it gets a little annoying -The Prices for the Extra.. It can get expensive to do the extras such as Go Karts, Bumper Boats, Mini Golf, Etc. -THE STAFF!! This is some of the WORST staff I have ever seen! Both times we went here the staff was terrible. They were very rude, didn't want to be there, the world revolved around them. They didn't know what they were doing, they were completely out of it, and once we called to see their times on a holiday and they didn't even know what time they closed. They actually hung up the phone. We called back, someone answered. They put us on "hold" we could still hear them. We called off our other cell phone and they actually told the person not to answer the phone. We also had to flag down an employee to get on bumper boats one night and yell and get them after they did nothing. I'd fire all the emplyees personally and get a new manager. I could run it better than them, I can promise you that!
That's why I gave it the review I did. I wish they'd hire me as their manager, I know I could make this place into a 10...
Read moreMy family and I came today for a visit while on vacation for the kids. We spent over $50 to get on the go karts and got drinks. They have a sign in front that states if they take your order and the cashier don't give you a receipt ask for a manager and you will get a $5 game card. The cashier had a nasty attitude while taking our order. My dad informed her about the sign that they have and that they have to honor it and they didn't want to honor it. The black girl with the long braids and glasses was very rude. The staff stand around and act clueless when we asked to speak with a manager. Took them at least 20 minutes to get a manager to honor it. The girl went outside to talk with her friends who were stationed at the go karts to work that area. We heard her talking about us telling the other associates what happened. Yes we looked and let it be known yes we hear you talking about us. We are paying customers paying customers is why you are in business and have a job. Please do better when hiring a team of teenagers that do not have good customer service skills. The manger finally came from the back to give us the $5 card and said he had to run the camera back to check as if my dad was lying. It wasn't about the $5 game card it was about how rude the cashier was at the counter. If we were to visit South Carolina again we will NOT be coming here to visit again. Very rude cashier. If they had name tags I would have mentioned her name. Please hire actual adults or at least young adults without horrible attitudes. Not a good look for...
Read moreWe went here the other night to play putt-putt. As we went to walk into the building, we noticed we were required to wear face masks. We had forgot our face masks at home, so no big deal, we were going to leave. But before we left, I went up to the guy working the front door. And ask him if my full face motorcycle helmet would be suitable enough to get me in through the door, till I was outside and didn't have to be wearing a mask. he stated I would need to get a manager's approval. When the manager showed up, I showed him my helmet and ask him if this would be suitable. he said unfortunately not. I said my helmet is as good as a face shield, it keeps all of my particles from my respiratory system inside my helmet. he replied with sorry we are masks only. I said that doesn't make sense, because a face shields block just as many particles as a mask and my helmet blocks more particles than both of them. he then in a very unprofessional manner told me that if I had a problem with it I could take it up with North Charleston who is requiring masks only. to which at this point I was done arguing with ignorance and left. these times through this covid-19 pandemic are hard enough. but having people in management positions that don't understand PPE make it even worse.
