UPDATE: ROBERTS BBQ has lost my business forever! I have been a customer when it was on Otranto Rd back in the day! This past Saturday (01/25/2025) changed everything. I live two hours away, so I make a point to always have Roberts BBQ when I'm visiting family. This particular day my oldest daughter was driving to retrieve my usual order. It was 3:30 and she was 20 min away when she called the restaurant to submit the order, three times! When a woman finally answered she was extremely rude and said they close at 4:00 and NOT making anything special! The order was hash and rice, onions rings and a BBQ sandwich. NOTHING special to order. My daughter was so bothered by the way she was spoken to, that she opted not to order anything. Instead, she brought me Bessinger's BBQ, which I've never had. Again, I have been a LOYAL customer at Roberts BBQ for nearly 30 years! I am NOW a loyal customer at Bessinger's BBQ! I can't believe their hash & rice, BBQ and onions rings are actually BETTER than Roberts! AND THE STAFF IS PHENOMENAL! Roberts BBQ should take a lesson from Bessinger's BBQ in customer service!!! GOOD BYE ROBERTS BBQ AND STAFF!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!!

Thalis place has most definitely seen its share of better days however the food still tastes the same. If you're looking for a good quality mustard based BBQ from a 1980's styled fast food restaurant flare then this could be the place for you. The place has lots of old styled booths to sit in complete with your own table lamp. If you're a nature lover, you'll appreciate the plethora of large Floridian ficus bushes tended to inside. Old style ordering where counter help yell the orders to the prep staff still exists. The food was delicious, with me receiving 2 sandwiches worth of meat jam packed onto 1 bun. Everything tasted fresh. They are limited in how your BBQ is prepared - it seems to be a one-size-(hopefully) -fits situation. And if you're not liking the sauce, there's not much they can do for you as it is prepared with the sauce drowning the meat. They should prepare it either way for those who prefer their meat plain. Both restaurants on either side of this one have recently remodeled - you would think this restaurant would take the hint. If you're coming for the food and can get around that, you'll be just fine. This place is so nasty me and my went there to have dinner there was piece of hair in my pork sandwich and the pork smells like a live pig it smelled so bad and Old I took it back to the register to tell them I want to refund black lady when off as if she was the owner of the Restaurant I am just so thankful that the food came out nasty because that was our first time stopping in and I was hesitant to begin with me and my husband because the place looks so bad and it was all dirty and dingy in the bathrooms not even clean note to self never go back to this place I believe they need to have maybe DHEC stop by in to there and when I was at the register right even looked and noticed nobody was even wearing gloves so it's a good thing we do not eat there and did a not even give us...
