My fiancé and I were visiting North Charleston SC over the weekend and we were told about this place by a local while we were ordering at a Mexican food truck (Poseidon which is amazing). We decided to go on Monday morning around 11:30am as we were heading back home to Conway SC. I got a large oxtail plate which came with way too much rice and peas, 5 tiny oxtails and a very small amount of cabbage. I also got a side of Mac and cheese, a side of plantains and a champagne kola…that was about $40. My fiancé got the brown stew chicken which was probably about 2.5 drum sticks cut in half with a meat cleaver, way too much rice and peas and the same small amount of cabbage. Very little gravy was on both of our rice which was disappointing because it was very good. She also got the same additional sides as me but no soda, hers was about $27. I had 6 plantains she only received 4. Now I will say the food was absolutely delicious (Mac and cheese was decent but dry). However, the over abundance of rice is clearly to disguise the underwhelming amount of meat you are given. Who eating all that rice? At least be fair because the money wasn’t an issue. My issue is when the quantity, and the price don’t add up. The quality of the food is very much on point. It was just very disheartening to open our plates and see how little protein we were given. I even asked if I could order a side of oxtail separate because the rice was excessive and was told no I’d have to get a whole plate. How is a large oxtail plate 5 tiny oxtail but a small oxtail plate is 4 tiny oxtail? The math ain’t matching. You don’t get a second chance to make a first impression so we will not be stopping by...

I just can't believe this place!!! We order the steamed fish and 8 jerk Drumettes and oh boy, we did not get that we got four hard Cold little leg and peices of hard cut up chicken that been sitting there all day, sauce black and I mean black and sticky. I I wouldn’t even serve my dog that!!!! But since you feel that it’s OK so I could eat it. I just have to express my feelings off that chicken and as a chef that was terrible and my rule in the kitchen if I won’t eat it, I I want serve it to anyone else. I bought the steamed fish many times from there and it was good but not this time, they must of been ready to close and tired. I don’t know because the fish used to be good but this time the fish was Scales and the manager pacifically called me and asked me what do I want, I told them what did I want and when my Son brought my order home it was terrible!!!!!I got the opposite. I only I wanted the fish okra, peppers, onions, and white rice That's IT. That’s all I got all kinds of stuff. I got cabbage. I got scales on the fish that never happened the fish it just was not the same and if it usually be good cause I love it there, but this is my last time going there. I’m just gonna get my money. I called and speak to a manager and she apologized, but how do you got the The audacity To feed someone that Sorry...

I tried this place out since my favorite spot was closed and I wish I would’ve just gone home and made the food myself or wait for my favorite spot to open. First off the jerk chicken isn’t worth the price and the jerk sauce taste like bbq sauce mixed with jerk seasoning no thank you. The rice and peas doesn’t have coconut milk in it or if it does it’s not much, the cabbage taste nothing like Jamaican stir fry cabbage and it was so peppery that whoever made it must of poured the whole container into it. The oxtails were tender but lacked the authentic flavor I was looking for it’s bland. I won’t be back I will stick with Caribbean Delight or I will make it myself at my home since I am a chef I just wanted good food from a Jamaican restaurant after working all day and now I just waisted my money. I also didn’t like the fact that the food wasn’t made to order but I tried to overlook that since it should be flavorful considering, boy was I ever wrong. No need to write a comment back to me it was my first and last time coming in. The servers...

I’m a sucker for good customer service :) I’ve been here several times. I told a friend you could eat off the floor because it was so clean inside which is huge to me. I have enjoyed my meals, but the one thing that took me over the top was their coco bread. If you only try one thing please let it be the coco bread :) no regrets I promise. I got a side of Mac & Cheese and the side is huge and priced real good! Oh, my review wouldn’t be authentic if I didn’t mention that I wasn’t a fan of the Rasta pasta…trust me I really wanted to be, but it was new to me, and my taste buds said no thanks. The pasta and sauce combination were off but I have no clue if it’s suppose to be that way (more pasta than sauce…the flavors didn’t hit for me). Definitely coming back to try more items on the menu!!!

Today was my first time here. My daughter actually rode past it a week ago. Today we stopped in and I’m glad we did! From the cleanliness to the customer service to the food was amazing! I appreciate good food but even more so, great customer service. It just makes the food taste better! lol My daughter got the rice and beans with oxtails and cabbage and I don’t eat rice that much so I got just oxtails and cabbage. I did order beef patties and two festivals. Festival is like a different kind of Jamaican cornbread. Didn’t take pics of that because we ate it too fast. Lmbo They’ve been open a month and a half and this is an Authentic Jamaican restaurant and they are really good! Go check them out! 🇯🇲

I ordered from this place for the 1st time, the atmosphere was okay for the most part the food was way over priced and the portions was small. I spent $40 for lg oxtail dinner which only had 4 1/2 oxtail bones that’s a damn shame I requested to know how much it would be to add more meat the young lady said an additional 21 dollars (which is the cost of a whole meal) YOU CANT BE SERIOUS. The taste is NOT authentic at all more like an American version of safe Jamacian food. I won’t be returning
