Very kid friendly environment. The staff are amazing and my 3 year old son loves their storytime, crafts, play and music time. They have a play area for the children and scavenger hunts and games throughout the children section. Their calender is always full of events for all ages to enjoy. Plenty of computers for each section: children, teens, and adults. Several patio areas and even a few study rooms for privacy if you reserve in advance. Plenty of spaces to relax and enjoy a great book. The bathrooms are always clean. They also have very spacious event rooms as well. If you haven't checked this place out, you should.

Beautiful new/renovated library just a short drive or bike ride from the Park Circle neighborhood. The original structure was named The Cooper River Memorial Library and opened in 1948. I love libraries and we can spend hours at one. They are a wonderful public resource for every community. The children's area has plenty of activities to keep the kids busy with arts and crafts, toys, and games. Something new we haven't seen at any of our other frequented libraries is the automated return system. Check out the video attached. 😀

The study table area had homeless people eating loudly and making lots of noise. That whole area smelled like their food. The entrance included people loitering and inside the only person who offered assistance was the woman in the children’s section. A group of people came to the area as well laughing and cutting up yet no one was there to remind them they were in a library. I will not be coming back to visit...
