If you’re on a budget, absolutely don’t go here. Monthly payments for the gym alone were $61 for the basic plan without any training. They were going to up their prices when I left, so it’s expected to be more than this. If you add training to the mix, it was $360 for a once per week training session! You can easily find some gyms with a better price along route 5. Biggest themes with clients at this gym were that they were older, had money, or both. There were very limited people there everyday, no more than 5 people at one time. This was the biggest selling point of the gym side. It was nice having less people than a regular gym, but ultimately, I found it not having much of a difference as far as workouts go. The trainers are a mixed bag. My trainer I had was very experienced, a great talker, and knew what was best for me. Along with him, there was another trainer that said hello to me everyday I went and was very helpful. A word for advice for those who are looking for a personal trainer, ALWAYS go with the ones who are older. They have so much more experience and are less focused on moving onto the next client. The past two sentences are what I came up in my head while I was at Trax. Aside from the two aforementioned trainers, the trainers were subpar, at best, including the manager. Many rude encounters and just seeming zombie-ish. I asked every trainer to help me with setting up equipment for my workout at Trax and I had some beyond rude moments. One time when I asked one trainer to help me out and they totally slipped out the backdoor when I wasn't looking. I also haven't received a promised list of exercises from my trainer after I completed my training, stemming from my decision to move to another gym because of the prices. All in all: two great trainers, okay gym, and...

I originally wrote a review complaining about the cleanliness in the ladies changing room. I'm revising to clarify, since Lia's reply suggests I don't notice the amount of work done by the guy in charge of maintenance--I think his name is Ben. I do. He works every single minute of every single hour that he's there and he keeps the place clean. He's a treasure, and I hope they pay him what he's worth. BUT what I can't change is my sense that over the last few months, the ladies changing room has been neglected for reasons I don't understand. And Lia may be right, it may be clients who are leaving the toilets clogged with paper (and worse) and throwing paper towels on the floor, but clients aren't in charge of filling the towel dispenser, which, until two nights ago, were pretty much always going empty.
Long story, not short, I don't think the ladies changing room is being maintained the way it used to be when I used to see cleaning women go in and out to keep it looking fresh. Ben, if that's his name, can't do that. Many of the women would freak out if a guy walked in and out periodically. But someone should be doing that throughout the day to keep the place looking better than it has been over the...
