Wild West Helicopters — Attraction in North Las Vegas

We did the short flight with Wild West Helicopters, and while I wish I’d known they offer longer options, this quick ride still delivered exactly what I hoped for — smooth, safe, and absolutely stunning.

Our pilot, Tom, was fantastic: easygoing, funny, and super knowledgeable. He pointed out fascinating landmarks like a dry waterfall etched into the canyon wall and flew us to sweeping angles that really captured the Grand Canyon’s immensity. The ride was surprisingly smooth — and felt completely safe from start to finish.

We hadn’t expected it to be private, but it was — just the two of us and Tom, which made it even more memorable.

The flight launches from a glamping site that looked amazing. I actually said to my family, “We should just stay here for the night!” (But — miles to go.) While not part of the official tour, we spent time after the flight petting goats, alpacas, and saying hi to a buffalo — a delightful bonus we hadn’t anticipated.

If I could change one thing, I’d have booked it for sunset — the midday sun washed out some of the canyon’s depth and shadows. Still, it was an incredible way to see the landscape from above.

So I booked a flight around the Vegas strip for Saturday the 1st at 930. I was at Tuscany gardens enjoying at 200$ steak that I rushed out of there in order to make it to my appointment that they deducted from my account just to find out that they knew nothing about my confirmed appointment. So then they tell me they have to fuel up there helicopter I say ok. They leave for about 5 minutes while I sign all the paperwork to which they come back and say that the person flying the helicopter was over there flight hours? If that was the case they would of known that when I walked in the door. So I wake up today try to call multiple times to get a reservation for today instead of a refund to which no ome has answered one time. I was also told that someone would be contacting me in reference to my refund and have not heard from them on that end. Our family of 5 booked their Grand Canyon tour on Easter Sunday and it was amazing. The whole process was super smooth and the lady that attend us (I forgot her name) was super friendly and helpful making photos of us when boarding the helicopter. The views were amazing. Our pilot Chris really went the extra mile and gave us a lot of info. He has a lot of experience flying helicopters.
