Booked a tour for my birthday on the 17th November. Choose this company as it’s something always wanted to do fly over Vegas and see the lights. I was originally put off by other companies putting large groups in helicopters and not being able to see much on the tour. I also loved the idea of doing it with the doors off. Arrived an hour early after receiving an email saying we needed to arrive 1 hour early and if we were late there would be a fee for arriving late. Arrived to be told that wasn’t the case 30 minutes is plenty. First annoyance. Spoke to the reception desk staff, customer service was amazing but I’ve had worse. Another member staff came out and noticed I had.a gimbal for my camera and said I couldn’t use it with the doors off because if anything fell off would get sucked into the blades and cause us to crash. 2nd annoyance was nervous anyway that didn’t help. They then came out to brief us and I got told another person was on our booking and they would get the front seat, perfect view of everything. My wife would get the left seat in the back perfect view of everything and I would get the back right seat. Dreadful view as everything is on the left of the hotel during the flight. I asked if my wife and I could swap as she wasn’t bothered. Only to be told if I were to sit there being heavier the helicopter would crash. Again not great when you’re nervous about going up anyway. Got in the helicopter and did the tour and I could barely see anything. With being tall had to try crouch down to look out of the window but had 2 heads right in the way to get a good view. We were told we had to put our phones in a case to stop it flying out and yes you guessed it resulting in us crashing. This case just made all our pictures and videos looked like it was shot under water and useless. So in all a waste of money and a huge let down for a birthday trip! Be aware if booking as a 1 or a 2 that you may get added to another booking. Also if you are male there is a good chance you will get the right seat and...
Read moreThe night helicopter flight over the Las Vegas Strip with Skyline Helicopters was nothing short of spectacular. As soon as we lifted off, the bright, bustling cityscape unrolled beneath us like a glittering carpet studded with a million lights.
The professionalism and friendliness of the Skyline team was evident from the moment we arrived. They ensured our safety, comfort, and enjoyment at all times, providing us with interesting facts about the Vegas landmarks we were flying over.
The view was absolutely breathtaking. Seeing the Las Vegas Strip from this perspective, with its iconic hotels and vibrant displays, was genuinely surreal. It's an experience that photographs simply cannot do justice to. The neon brilliance of the city, coupled with the calm, clear desert sky, was a sight to behold.
The helicopter itself was incredibly comfortable and maintained to a high standard, which made for a smooth and enjoyable ride. There was a certain serenity to being above it all, quietly drifting over the pulsating life of the Strip below.
This unique experience offered by Skyline Helicopters is an unforgettable way to experience Las Vegas. The glittering cityscape from the sky at night is truly a spectacle that everyone should see at least once in their lifetime. We will definitely be recommending this to friends and family. A resounding 5-star rating for...
Read moreMy partner and I took the Vegas Strip Helicopter Tour with the doors off and it was an excellent time. I highly recommend waiting until night time to see the strip views. It was +40C/100F the night we went out and it did cause some turbulence but the pilot said it was normal. This is my second time doing this tour and both times were awesome.
If youre doing the doors off option, you have to pay 5 USD for a lanyard that you get to keep which we didn’t know about before getting there. Also, I highly recommend being on the LEFT seat of the helicopter because it gets the best views of the strip for recording. I had the right seat and didn’t get as good videos or pictures as my partner who sat on the left.
The airport (not the international Harry Reid one) is kind of far away from the strip, but we had a rental car so it was not a big deal. I did see many folks using rideshare services to get to the airport.
We did have to wait about 45 minutes after our scheduled booking to get up in the air but the supervisor gave us free pictures and water for having to wait.
Everyone at the company who helped us...
