Thomas & Jones Funeral Home — Local services in Las Vegas

I was referred here to Thomas and Jones by Palms on Cheyenne after seeing them twice the price I was quoted for everything was still not within my budget and for some reason with the sudden death of my dear baby sister, I was not financially prepared for anything honestly. I was scheduled to meet with Mr Trintion and I am truly grateful I was sent to the right place. I explained to Mr Trintion, what happened and exactly how I want my sister’s day to be. He gave me exactly what I asked for delivered with exquisite customer service, very professional and you can tell how down to earth they all are in that office. I am including Ms Tammy and Mr Isaac in that office. Everything was within my budget. Let me specify, I was quoted about $12,000 then $9,000 at another place then come to Thomas and Jones and they quoted me about $4500. I am only paying for services I wanted according to my budget, with some that were required to be paid for. Now that was doable for me and my siblings, and family as we all pitched in and help with my baby sister’s bill. If you are not local or in the funeral home in person I would not use this company. Being not physically there I don't feel like they take you serious. The worst funeral home that could be chosen in Nevada in my opinion. They took almost 2 weeks to simply embalm and put my father on a plane. Unacceptable! I almost went broke waiting on this to finally be arranged (lots of time off work waiting). I would highly NOT recommend this funeral home. On top of it apparently it seems it's up to the client to finish the work the funeral home doesn't and on top of that each staff member told us a different story about what we are waiting on. They seem to get upset when you bother them too frequently when they take longer than they are supposed to and have terrible communication. Please take my word for it if you are not local. I am deeply disappointed with the services provided by Palm Mortuary. Our father passed away on March 22nd, and it took them two weeks to even embalm him before we could proceed with funeral services. Now, a month later, our father is still sitting in their morgue, and his cremation has not been done. During the viewing, I asked for clarification on when the cremation would occur. One staff member told me it was scheduled for the following Thursday, but when I spoke with the manager, I was told a completely different story. To make matters worse, the manager called me a "liar" and insisted that their staff never gave me that information. It’s almost like they’re taking "slow and steady wins the race" to a whole new level. This lack of professionalism and transparency during such an emotional time has been deeply upsetting. I would not recommend this funeral home to anyone unless you want your loved one to be "on ice" for longer...
