President Supermarket is located on 125th Street. And Northeast 4th Avenue. If you're traveling westbound, on 125th Street, you will find it on the left. And of course if you are traveling eastbound, on 125th, it will be on your right. Great place to buy all of your, vegetables. Fresh daily. They carry every type of, vegetable, you can think of. Disability parking is available, in front of the store. And throughout the parking lot. Public restrooms are available. Disability access ramp is also available. It is a very large, Hispanic grocery store. They carry all type of seasonings. Fresh, and bottled. They have a large Hispanic, section of foods. They have a seafood department. A meat department. Customer service is excellent. Management seems to know what they're doing. They also have a cafe, where you can order hot food to take out. Or sit down and eat. Rice and beans chicken steak. Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhat a disappointment! Went there yesterday and I was in for such a shocking disappointment. The first thing that turned me off was that they do not have chicken in the butcher section. I couldnāt believe it. So when I went over to the packaged chicken, the prices were outrageous! They only had leg quarters in packs of 2 - 3 at over a dollar a pound. So, I ended up getting drumsticks at 76 cents per pound. They had 5 drumsticks per bag so I had to buy 2 bags. There were no bags of chopped bell peppers and onions in the frozen section so I had to buy each separate. The red bell pepper cost me $2.99 per pound, even though the price said differently where they were.
I passed by the other supermarket on the bus that has chicken at the butcher and leg quarters for 75 cents per pound and they cut them for you! But, I went to Presidente because I know them, but that location was sadly not like the others. From Homestead Florida to North Broward I've shopped with them and never have I been so unpleased.
The one thing that did make the trip worth it was the fact tha they had Chicken Heart! However, that was completely a win because the price was just ridiculous at $2.99 per pound. So, I had to buy two of those as well. In Homestead I would have gotten more in one package then got with two packages there and for a cheaper price!
I don't know if the Haitians no better, but they're getting cheated out of their money with those prices.
The only reason I'll return again is for the Chicken Hearts and that's only if I canāt find somewhere else that's cheaper; I've already...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreToday I went to the market to buy some things and I was mistreated by the store security guards because of my service dog. Upon entering, the security guard asked for the ācertificateā which I didn't carry with me at the time, as no business asks me for that. A business is not allowed to ask me for proof or to force me to show a certificate, instead, the business should ask me some questions like āIs the dog a service animal required because of a disability? What work or task has the dog been trained to perform?ā I was never asked these questions, the security guard threatened to call the police and embarrassed me in public. I started shaking, my vision got blurry, my blood pressure dropped from the stress. It's ridiculous that I have to go through this, the staff should be trained for situations like this and should know that they shouldn't ask what my disability is in public or request a certificate as proof....
