Tucked away in North Miami’s vibrant culinary scene, EDAN Bistro is a small, unassuming gem that offers a truly extraordinary dining experience. At its helm is Chef Aitor, a young, friendly talent from the Basque Country whose love for food shines through in every carefully crafted dish. After making waves with Leku at the Rubell Museum, Aitor has poured his heart into creating EDAN Bistro, a space where his creativity and passion come alive on every plate.
The restaurant’s intimate size creates a personal and exclusive experience, where Aitor himself delivers his creations to your table with a warm smile and a genuine love for what he does. This hands-on approach makes you feel like a guest in his own kitchen rather than a diner at a restaurant.
The food? A masterpiece. Each dish is presented on stunning handmade plates that perfectly complement the colors and textures of the food. We ordered the 7 course menu for lunch for $100 per person a great deal for the restaurant excellent food combination you get. When the food arrived, it was a feast for the eyes before the first bite. The vibrant colors, expertly arranged like a painting, set the stage for flavors that were bold, fresh, and utterly satisfying.
Chef Aitor’s true talent lies in his ability to take traditional techniques and elevate them with creative, modern twists. From the gazpacho with strawberries to the showstopping Basque Cheesecake, each dish engages all the senses and feels like a reflection of his love for food.
While EDAN Bistro is still a hidden gem, it won’t stay that way for long. The combination of Aitor’s talent, the restaurant’s intimate charm, and the unforgettable food make it clear that this place is destined for greatness. Once it’s mentioned in the Michelin Guide—and it undoubtedly will be—getting a table here will be a challenge.
Until then, this is your chance to experience Chef Aitor’s vision up close, in an environment that feels like dining with an old friend who just happens to be a culinary genius. Miami is lucky to have him, and EDAN Bistro is the perfect reflection of his passion, skill, and creativity.

Read moreOur long-awaited date night finally arrived as we stepped into Edan Bistro in North Miami. After a month of attempting to secure a reservation, our anticipation was palpable. Authentic Basque cuisine is a rarity, and this was a gem we couldn't wait to experience.
Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by the chef, who instantly made us feel like part of the family. Little did we know, this was just the beginning of an exceptional evening filled with delectable dishes and unforgettable flavors.
Despite the relatively small menu, every dish packed a punch of flavor and impact. We appreciate when a restaurant focuses on perfecting a select few dishes, and Edan Bistro truly excels in this regard.
As each course arrived, it was evident that careful consideration was given to the presentation and execution. For appetizers, we savored the Jamón Ibérico croquettes, steak tartare, and octopus. While each was delicious, the steak tartare stole the show with its tender meat and perfectly balanced flavors.
Moving on to the entrees, the pumpkin truffle risotto paired with the duck breast was simply sublime. The harmonious blend of flavors, and textures elevated these dishes to a whole new level of culinary excellence.
And of course, no meal at Edan Bistro would be complete without indulging in their Basque cheesecake. A unique twist on a classic dessert, it surpassed all expectations and left us craving for more.
In conclusion, Edan Bistro offers an unforgettable dining experience that will leave your taste buds singing. From the impeccable service to the exceptional flavors, every aspect of our evening was nothing short of perfection. It's with great pleasure that the Zasón Guide awards Edan Bistro with a cedilla for Flavor, Execution, Service, and...
Read moreWe decided to close the week with a quiet dinner near our home. We were excited to try this place that has caught our attention for months as we drive home each day. You know, that small family and neighborhood business. Sadly, we were informed that, without a reservation, we could not be served and that they were full. However, the restaurant was empty. It was 7:30 pm and there was only one table occupied. It's very rare that a business like this requires reservations, but anyway, that's the way they want to run their business, GOOD LUCK!!! Also, it is surprising that they did not make the slightest effort to please (us) new customers, no alternative to make us return. I don't know! Maybe offer us a reservation for the next day, maybe offer to serve us some coffee and explain to us that the time we can sit should be limited. Curiously, there is no visible notice informing the public about the reservation, nor information on where to make the reservation. Not a pamphlet with information was offered to us. Does it really give the impression that they want to avoid the local public? Maybe they expect more "sophisticated" clients. Who knows?!! I can't deny that the atmosphere seems nice. but for now 0 (ZERO) stars in service, and not many desires to return to try your menu. Perhaps; the Heart of North Miami is not glamorous enough to establish the business of...
