Batteries Plus — Attraction in North Plainfield

I dropped and cracked the screen on my brand new phone so I googled nearby places that repair phones. Batteries Plus in North Plainfield, NJ was the 3rd place I called. It was about 30 minutes before closing and a guy named Sammy answered my call. I told him my issue and he explained how it would work as well as how much it would cost. I told him I would call the next day with my credit card to order a new screen. When I called the following day, I placed the order for a new screen and Sammy told me he would call as soon as it came in. He did just that and we made an appointment for me to come in for the repair. When I arrived at the store a few days later, I finally met Sammy in person and he was just as professional and courteous as he was on the phone. He completed the repair in the estimated time and it was done to perfection. I am extremely impressed with the service I received at this Batteries Plus location and with Sammy. I don't think he is the manager of that location but he should be...or at the very least he deserves a raise. As a matter of fact, his level of customer service made me wonder if he worked on commission but I asked him and he said no. Well...

I bought an AGM car battery from the BPB in Union, NJ a few years ago and it's been great. But, due to COVID-19 and not working, I let my car sit in my garage for nearly 4 months starting it every 1-2 weeks. The other day, my battery was dead and couldn't be jumped. It would read no more than 7 Volts. I took it to N. Plainfield since they're closer and they saved my battery! They advised they had to use a device/machine to charge the battery for a few days to see if it could get back above 12.6 Volts. They called me days later to say it reached 12.7 and tested the load, and that it was back to great working condition. Big thanks to Andrew and the other reps!

Note: Was advised that something in my car may have been draining my battery while it was sitting for so long. I have a GPS tracker that's plugged in to the OBD II port which most likely pulls energy 24/7. So, if you're gonna have your vehicle sitting for a long period of time, make sure to unplug EVERYTHING that can pull power from...

Very helpful. I needed an auxiliary battery (one for the stop/start)for my wife’s Jeep. I checked online and saw this store had the one I needed in stock, but called to make sure. Picked up battery, they charged me a bit less on the core charge from what shown online. Well the battery wouldn’t fit because of a difference with the top casing not allowing the hold down bracket to fit properly. So I called the store back and was told no problem returning it, I then ordered a different battery from a different source. Well after I did that, got call back from the store saying they had a different battery that would probably work. The first battery was a Duracell and the other battery they had which were being replaced was a Power Sonic. Seeing that battery when I returned the first the next day, yes it would have worked, but was patient enough to wait to see it. Was refunded for the first battery. I’ll now know...
