Yeah everything's fine and dandy until you have to bring your jewelry in for warranty work or repairs. I have spent a lot of money on my wife's wedding ring. And it has been in for repairs several times. And now kays telling me that the ring can no longer be repaired. Kay's corporate people said it cannot be repaired anymore it's just going to start falling apart. My wife wears it to work and she's an office manager and she also wears it out casually, she's not digging through the dirt with her hands or getting in fist fights with this thing. It's about 10 years old. Wedding rings are not like washing machines and chincy appliances, you shouldn't have to buy a new one every 10 years. Kay's is now telling us we need a whole new ring. The Jessica on the phone says "well it is about 10 years old", in such a way to suggest it's time for a new one! And when kays sold us the ring they're like wait let's see if we can get any sales or anything like that and they bring the price down, so when it is time for warranties you don't get what your jewelry's worth. And now that it's time to file a warranty claim and get a new ring they're saying they're not going to give us much of any money in fact they're telling us we need to buy a new warranty, and put money down on a new ring. It's like dealing with a crooked insurance company. I got full coverage warranty everything I could get for security on this ring. These folks are deceivers.    Read moreTerrible staff only worried about commission. I ordered for $1800 the Now + Forever Diamond Enhancer Wedding Ring, but had the charge returned with no explanation. So I replaced the order and it sat as pending on my card for 7 days before being returned again. My fiancé went into this store and the salesman Josh said that the ring is no longer being produced and that is why the charge keeps being returned so that my fiancé will just have to pick a new one and assures the original charge won’t come back on my card.
She picks out a new Neil Lane wedding ring for about $980 and we decide to order that through Josh instead. Well Josh had ordered the wrong Neil Lane wedding ring, so when my fiancé shows up to pick up the ring she had been trying on and ordered DIRECTLY THROUGH THE SALESMAN, it was not the same ring. Apparently the ring she had been trying on and Josh told her she was getting was in fact $1600. Mind you I was authorized to pay for this transaction by Josh by calling my fiancé over the phone and reading Josh my card number.
Instead of making any amendments to this, Tracy said that the best they can do is a 10% discount on another ring she and my fiancé will have to pay the difference. The Neil Lane ring she originally picked out was no available for an exchange. More importantly, Tracy’s top priority was to tell my fiancé if she is going to go to another store to exchange, make sure to mention Tracy’s store so they can get a commission off of it. I appreciate this because I came in knowing what to look for and gave me the time to look at other jewelry I am considering to purchase in the future without having a Employee coming right up to me assuming I want this expensive item and have the budget for it right now. Just as I was approached at fao jewelers then was judged when I asked to see there promise rings. Autumn at this location did an amazing job at making me feel comfortable with purchasing a lower costing ring for my girlfriend and even offered price budgeting in case I want to spend extra. The reason I have a lower budget is because I don’t want to get my girlfriend just a promise ring for her birthday and our one year and I want to get gifts she needs for a daily basis. The difference customer service makes is huge in sales and people don’t know that. Fao pressured me into going bigger and saying she’s worth it in all sorts of ways and believe me I know that more than anyone else but if they would’ve treated me as Autumn did then I would’ve been willing to spend more as I did at Kay jewelers.
