If you want to get your laptop properly fixed, avoid this store like the plague. We took our laptop to the North Port office to get the frame of the screen fixed as it made it hard to open and close the laptop. Upon entering the store we were greeted kindly and were told that it should be an easy fix which will be done in a few days. We paid around $200 in advance and went home thinking that we’ll get our laptop back in no time. As it turned out, we couldn’t have been more wrong. We waited more than a week just to get notified that it’s going to take more time than expected and that he (the owner) needs to contact someone who is more familiar with this type of laptop. So we had to wait another two weeks after which we were told that the laptop’s finally fixed. However, when we went back it turned out that the laptop is still not fixed properly; the screen had to be changed and the new screen was of bad quality, also the new frame wasn’t the proper size so the laptop still couldn’t be opened and closed properly. After all this we had to again wait for two weeks which was absolutely unnecessary as no improvements whatsoever were made to the laptop during that time. Because of this we asked for a refund which we didn’t get; we managed to get a partial refund of $80, but we still lost more than $100 and didn’t get our laptop properly fixed. Moreover, the Windows version on the laptop was upgraded from 10 to 11 which we didn’t want and unfortunately can’t revert. What’s even more frustrating is that after asking for a refund the owner had the audacity to put the blame on us for losing money on this so-called „repair” as it allegedly cost him more than he originally expected. This kind of business practice is unacceptable and it’s really shameful putting the blame on the...
Read moreI'll start by mentioning I have not had my phone repaired here. HOWEVER, I did bring my phone in for a quote on a screen replacement that would have entailed, following an extremely long wait time for parts, removing all components from the old frame and being transplanted into a new one. A lengthy job that would've likely approached the cost of a whole new replacement phone.
Rather than string me along and push for the repair anyway, as some places would - not just in phone repair, but in several third party service industries - they explained the situation honestly and advised me to go the quicker, potentially cheaper, and less problematic route of getting a new device.
They provided the figure of $60 in the event I would need data transfer between the 2 devices, but thanks to a cloud backup, it looks like I won't need that either, but the price is perfectly reasonably and I have no reason to believe they wouldn't do a great job.
In lieu of requiring their services, I just wanted to leave some of my positive experience with the shop now that I'm set with a new phone. Nothing but great service when I dealt with them and I believe your device will be in...
Read moreBrought in my phone to be repaired for the camera and the camera glass, I had to return to the store four times in one day because they kept telling me " it will be done in an hour" after 4 hours of coming back every hour my phone was finally repaired, and when I took it home there was a smudge on the camera lens inside the camera, I brought my phone back and they cracked the new glass. They just replaced trying to clean the smudge, and told me to come back the next day so they can fix the glass. They broke, I go back they take my screen apart and when they put the screen back together the fingerprint function no longer works. I was told when I originally paid for the parts that it would take about 2 days to fix. I am 2 weeks later and the phone is in worse shape than when I brought it in.
They really need to work on their communication on how long it takes for something to be repaired.
And they seem to have good reviews so I assume their technician is usually good, But in this...
