Honestly the worst experience I have ever had at a hair salon.
EDIT: Even more disappointed that they can’t own up to Molly not being able to cut hair! I was not ONCE told “I can’t do this cut” or anything of the sort. Don’t you think I would have chose to not spend hundreds of dollars if I was told that what I wanted wasn’t possible? I can forgive a mistake with a bad haircut but lying outright to save face is actually funny and ridiculous. Telling me to call to ask how to style my hair isn’t going to fix bald patches and a jagged, poorly done job. Don’t lie, it’s not a good look👌🏼
I appreciate that the owner, Rachel, remained calm and professional but at the end, she harped on giving only a partial refund when the kind/right thing to do would be to refund the entire service as courtesy. Especially considering the fact I will have to fix the damage done at another salon.
Rachel kept asking questions like how long my hair was prior to the cut (maybe an inch or two below my shoulders), but why does it matter? It’s not the same cut/style I asked for. And even if it HAD been a Bob with an undercut , it was poorly executed anyway!
I’m half Asian/half Hispanic. I asked for a wolf/shag/hush cut, with minimal length taken off, and I got a poorly done mushroom/bowl cut. I specifically said I did NOT want a pixie/bob cause I am trying to grow my hair out. But even if I had, the photos show my bangs are literally diagonal (not evened out), and it looks like it was done with a hack saw. There’s even bald patches on my scalp. 0/10 do not recommend going here. Especially if you are a POC. There’s another review stating this and I should have listened.
Photos are the reference photos I showed of a shag cut, vs what I got. Poorly evened out, jagged bob...

Read moreHeartbroken doesn't begin to cover the haircut I got at this salon. I went Friday and felt like I loved the cut at first but then I got home and the curls (which I've never had curls put in my hair during a blow out) fell and I saw how uneven and jagged my hair cut is. I straightened it and it's a mess. I walked in with hair almost to my waist and walked out with a cut below my chin. I did go in seeking a "chop" but pointed to my chest where I wanted and showed photos. Alison said she only cut 8" but I measured from where my hair used to fall and it was almost 13"cut and gone. She cut the back shorter than the front WITHOUT TELLING ME that's what she was doing, I practically begged her that I needed to be able to pull all of my hair up and I can't because my bangs are falling out or the back pieces fall out, depending on where I place the ponytail. I showed a reference photo and it was ignored because it looks NOTHING like the photo. I messaged Alison on IG and her solution is to cut the front to match the back and it's "simply blending" that needs to be done, so losing more inches and why wasn't it blended during the appointment? This was a disaster and the first salon I trusted in almost 3 years to...
