We were visiting Muskegon on vacation and we decided to stop in here. I was impressed with how many different options they had here! We have several different gaming systems and we could find games for all of them! The staff that helped us out were very friendly! If you're looking for great prices on used games, CDs, and lots more, you definitely need to check this place out!

This store has all kinds of neat electronics! Vinyl, cassetes, video games, dvds. If you can think of it, they most likely have it! I will be sure to return. Purchased some Playstation 3 games and one dualshock 3.

I wish I could give this place 5 stars but after my experience here yesterday I cannot. The lady behind the counter was extremely rude to the point of belittling and lacked all the necessary people skills to be in a sales position. (Her initials being SK) Full disclosure I'd have given them only one star (since zero stars isn't an option) if it weren't for my other 2 experiences here being such positive ones. (I'll give full story after finishing the main review as it will be lengthy and most just want to read the basics 😉)

The other two times I'd gone in the store, all within the past couple weeks, I had been helped by 2 of the most helpful, friendly, pleasant guys there. Had I not stepped foot inside their store yesterday I'd have given 5 stars just for the exceptional customer service skills portrayed by those 2 men. They are a bit pricey in my opinion, but you have to take into account that they have to make enough profit to cover the payroll of their gawd awful employees as well as all of their exceptional ones and building upkeep. If you want to save a few bucks, tho, check FB Marketplace, eBay, and mercari before risking an encounter such as I had with a condescending used-store staff.

Unfortunately, tho, after my awful experience there yesterday, I will never again spend money at that store nor will I encourage anyone else to.

---End of main review--

If you want to read the full back story leading up to point of leaving this review then continue on.. 🤣

My son, who just had his 6th birthday last week, has recently really gotten into playing Minecraft on his tablet. For a kid with pretty intense ADHD, seeing him so focused on mining and building things was..well, "Mine"-blowing. (Sorry, I couldn't help myself 😁)

His abuelos wanted to get him a Nintendo Switch for his birthday. I'll add that our family is completely new to the world of gaming systems. A downloadable version of Minecraft from Google Play and a subscription to Amazon Kids+ was the full extent of our "gaming" familiarity. So I found a brand new Switch on Marketplace for $190 for the Abuelos to gift my son. (they don't speak much english so it was up to me) Then for the games I decided to hit up CDX because I was very specific to looking for Minecraft. I bought a total of 4 games that first day. (Which came up to nearly $70) The man who helped me out was extremely patient with my thousand questions and obvious lack of knowledge. He did his best to explain things in a way I could understand and also let me know that if my son didn't like one of the games that we would have 10 days after the date of his bday party to bring it back in. The game, for reference, was Just Dance at the cost of $14.99. I brought it back in 10 days later with the intent of getting Luigi Mansion instead. After arriving at the store I realized I had forgotten my wallet at home and didn't have enough money on me to cover the $30 price difference between the 2 games. Since it was my last day to exchange I opted on getting the Disney game which ended up costing $6 more than the first game we were exchanging. I had asked the associate if we would then be able to bring it back the next day to get the game we had came for when I'd actually have the money to pay for it. He was very assuring that as long as we came back "within a day or two" that it wouldnt be a problem. (Plot spoiler-- it WAS a problem..a HUGE one, at least to the lady behind the counter the next day) So, less than 20 hours after that encounter I come back in with Disney game to get the Luigi game we had planned to get instead the day before. (By the way, the Disney game SUCKS. Do not waste your money) The Luigi game, without a case, was $40. ($22 more than Disney). Without listening to my explanation she instantly started jumping down my throat, in the most disrespectful tone I had ever witnessed by a sales associate. She yelled at me for trying to scam "free rentals" . ( Yeah, ik, FREE? Not even close!) I wish there was room for the rest if belittling things she spat at me but I've...

I brought in a PS4 controller to hopefully exchange for some quick cash. I had bought it for my son but he never ended up using it so it sat in its box brand new. I had just pulled it out of the box when I brought it in. They plugged it into their test system and told me they wouldn't accept it, pretty much because the analog sticks were sticking. Instead of just saying it like that though, they used a more technical description. I asked "huh?" But not because I didn't understand their fancy terms, but because I had JUST opened it! How could they possibly be sticking?? But in the most condescending way possible they again explained that the analog sticks were sticking which makes it hard to use in game play. I mean I get it, I'm a woman holding a 2year old baby, but that doesn't always mean someone is technologically challenged. And the way they intentionally went out of their way to be so extra with their wording made me feel too incompetent to even be in their presence. Even though I knew exactly what they meant the first time!

I went down to GameStop, where they probably ran the same test, and magically the controller fixed itself!

What I'm trying to say is my experience was uncomfortable and I really feel there needs to be some kind of business social skills training implemented. I also want you to know that your test system is sending faulty codes or you straight up just curved me like I wouldn't leave a review. Either way, I was not impressed and it will be a hard pass to ever be a...

UPDATE: Will never visit this store again. Management doesn't understand you can't please everyone. Won't even mention the smell of alcohol I've detected a few times from one of the owners before. I've watched enough people come into this store and be unhappy because they can't sell their junk to the store. Aways threatening the employees when things don't go their way.

Some employees treat this job as a hangout rather than a professional storefront. I watched a tall one buying products that don't work 100% or buying things for himself right in the shop. A number of the defective things I've had to return were able to be traced back to said employee. Seems to bee a common theme so don't shop here if you want quality merchandise.

The number of times if seen men cat-call or make rude unnessecary comments about the blue hair-ed woman justify the sometimes harsh exterior. Clearly management cares more about their online image than their employees. Shop here if you want to support an arrogant business owner who clearly does not take his finances into consideration, and his lack of sensitivity training. Just look at how Eric responds to some of the lower star reviews. Not to mention some of the most rude customers I've seen who can't take no...
