I always love coming here. I've been doing so since I was a child. Such a large selection, plus, in the summer they have fresh fruits and veggies at the shop! This year, I saw corn and bean seeds sold by the pound. They also offer salsas, honey/bee products, hot sauces, cheese sauces, pickled...everything (including summer squash as well as eggs), jarred peaches, pies and drinks in the cooler and more. Everyone is always so friendly. Even if you don't buy anything, just walking through the greenhouses lifts your spirit. I promise! We just got back from a soul-lifting meander through the property and after I bought 3 jars of pickled goods. I ate the entire jar of pickled baby corn in about 15 minutes it was so flippin delicious! Today I stopped in to pick up some peaches and corn. My purchase was under $5 and I didn't have cash. I was told that the minimum credit card purchase was $6.50 (which is legal), but a surcharge of TWO DOLLARS would be imposed. Although requiring a minimum purchase for the usage of credit cards is legal (it would have been courteous of they posted it in writing), it is NOT legal to require a surcharge for using a card under the minimum. Malerba's Farm is not operating within Federal law. They lost a loyal customer today, and this former customer is going to be very vocal...

Actually, they were recommended to me by someone at Hart's Greenhouse & Florist in Norwich, which is somewhere I've been going to since I discovered them last year. I was looking for hot peppers to grow and was told to try Malerba's Farm, which I did. They have a great selection of live hot peppers, which are sold in packs of 6 or a tray of 24 (Greenhouse 4).
