Initially, not a good experience. This place is a 50 mile drive for me. The person there was telling me it would take 1-7 days to replace my s25 Ultra screen under Samsung Care+. This was obviously a lie, especially after a rep from Samsung walked in (the timing is uncanny). I asked him if he worked for Samsung and he hesitantly said "yes". And then I said, "what do you think about it taking 1-7 days to replace my screen under Care+". Then the person started explaining why - that it has to do with paperwork and there was no way to tell how long it would take. Samsung man said exactly what I said: "what you're saying makes no sense". He said, "That's never been a thing." He asked if they had the part (the screen) the answer was yes, so the Samsung Guy said, "then what you are saying makes absolutely no sense - a screen is a same day replacement". In the end, rather than giving this guy my phone, I left to think about whether I trust them with the repair or not.
I have no idea what was going down there. I suspect it has something to do with Asurion being dumped by Samsung (they own UbreakWefix) in favor of Servify, although the two companies somehow work with each other.
Anyway, it was a surreal experience - being gaslighted to the extreme and then having Samsung Guy walk in and throw a knockout punch in my favor. It's a good thing I sat down and told him I was staying there until he told me a story that made sense. I honestly don't know what underhanded business practices I got caught in the middle of. But now that I've established the truth I will probably return tomorrow to get this done. But this time I will have a spare phone with me in case they treat me poorly and/or retaliate for catching them in some weird...
Read moreI brought my iPad in to have the screen replaced. There were multiple cracks in the screen, but it was still 100% operational. I made an appointment for 5pm and when I showed up to the Groton location there was a sign on the door that said the technician was out to lunch and would be back by six. I made an appointment again for the next day and the technician took my iPad and said give us a couple of days and it’ll be ready. I didn’t hear anything for a week so I called and they told me it was ready. I picked it up, there was a new screen on it, and paid. I got home and found that that everything around the perimeter couldn’t be tapped. I made another appointment to bring it back and explained what was going on. They took it back and explained it was probably a defective screen and would get another one ordered in. After not hearing anything for a week I called to get an update and was told they just received a shipment and my screen should be in there and to give them a couple of days. I called back in about a week to get an update and was told that it wasn’t repaired yet but that technician would get right to working on it the next day and he would personally reach out to me. I waited two days and never heard back. I’ve called the store 11 times throughout the day and no one has answered except the one time where it was accidentally answered to a technician laughing then hung up. I decided to just take my ipad back from the store in an un operational condition due to the lack of confidence I have that this will actually be repaired properly. 9 stars for customer service here. Read moreLiterally the worst establishment. Stay far away and go to the one down the street. Brought my phone in for a cracked back replacement. Had a friend pick the phone up and when I got it noticed immediately that there was a big white line running down the front screen. Called and was treated like I was lying since “they turn the phone on before calling their customer and enter the password in to ensure all features work properly” but I explained that’s impossible since the rep never asked for my code. I brought the phone another shop down the street just to get a diagnostic test since this company is so shady. He SHOWED US IN PERSON RIGHT AS WE WALKED IN all of their mistakes and lack of care. UBreakiFix used a machine to take the cracked backing off but the machine went through the battery and front screen which is causing the big white line. Also in the photos he showed us how dirty they left the phone which shortens the phones lifespan. I called uBreakiFix and explained that another company looked at their work and even sent the manager the photos showing the VERY poor work done by their company. I brought the phone back and they replaced the front screen . Got the phone and it wouldn’t hold the battery charge. Called them AGAIN since the only thing wrong upon the first drop off was the cracked backing and explained the battery is now screwed up.
