KFC — Restaurant in Norwich

This location is kind of hit or miss for me and it's all dependent on the time I go and if I choose to get down or go through the drive through. During the day the staff is friendly, competent, and as quick as they can be considering how busy it can get around lunch/dinner time. When I visit at night after work, the difference in competence and care for the night crew is noticable. It's at night that my order is usually wrong or just cold. The drive through also moves at a snail's pace. It's evident they have their best workers on for their day shift when the majority of people are stopping by. It is always better to go inside unless the line is completely dead in the drive thru. Aside from the fact that you will likely get your food faster if your not waiting for every car in front of you to order and get to the window, you also tend to get a better experience with the food your given. Unfortunately the fact that this location is a dual KFC and Taco Bell means that people go through the drive thru for large quantities or buckets of chicken and hold up the line for those of us who only want a quick taco. Chicken takes much longer to cook and runs out quicker in the busy hours. Those customer's lack of effort to just go inside and keep from clogging the drive thru is just another reason to go in and order instead of waiting in...

Went there earlier today with my grandmother. She ordered two chicken wings (I think) with mashed potatoes w/ gravy and coleslaw while I ordered a popcorn chicken with potato fries and barbeque sauce. Once we got our food immediately we noticed it was wrong and my grandmother pointed it out to the worker who put our food together and the cashier, keep in mind that everything I said above for our meals was on the receipt and the order screen the workers look at. What was on the tray was a meal similar to what my grandmother ordered but her coleslaw was with my meal which had only popcorn, no potato fries, and the coleslaw. The worker threw away my popcorn chicken and took the coleslaw replacing both with potato fries which my grandmother resolved a second later by telling him my meal came with both potato fries and popcorn chicken. I get that my grandmother might've been giving the worker a hard time but what happened after was not acceptable. He almost took the mashed potatoes w/ gravy but my grandmother told him it was apart of her meal (which it was) and he threw it down on the tray, same with the coleslaw a bit later. Once sitting down my meal was fine but my grandmothers wasn't the best, the mashed potatoes w/ gravy were lukewarm, one of her chicken wings were dry, and the other chicken wing was not...

I had the most wonderful experience here at KFC tonight! I was trying to get a 2 piece chicken meal and one pot pie to go and I did not have enough money to buy for the two of us. I knew they would say they could not break my $ 100 bill so a big shout out to ALICIA the cashier and whomever else helped me in the biggest hearted way I could ever imagine. Alicia came back with money and was going to pay the bill for me. I told her that she was so sweet that I could not take her money and that they all work hard enough...and she humbly replied .."Not really". So I told her I was ok with just getting the 2 chicken thighs and I went to the restroom and came out to find they paid my whole meal not just the 2 pieces of chicken I ordered and the pot pie. Then they even bought me a cookie and to my surprise all my money was in the bag that I paid her for the chicken and pot pie along with a note that read TAKE CARE + SMILE A HEART AND KFC GIRLS! They made my day! All their parents should read this and see that young girls are truly amazing and I hope the manager/ owners read this! god bless all of you. Good deeds will come back to you in...
