I went to Notre Dame to visit a cousin, but left absolutely astounded by the structures I've seen. The golden dome was one of the highlights when I went. The place itself is massive and almost looks like a castle. As soon as you walk in you see history all over the walls. Paintings of Christopher Columbus and he expedition to America. The painting are beautiful and tell a story that not everyone agrees with. Once you're done taking in all the history you get a taste of some of the endowment the school has. A massive crown was purchased from Europe to be put on one of the statues. It's amazing how much history is all around us...
